I do not understand, why do Democrats want to pay more taxes

As Spock would say, "this is illogical". So why do you not want to keep more of what you earn, and why do you not want American companies to be able to make their goods here, employing American workers instead of making everything in China.

 

Those who bitch about taxes tend to be the ones who use the most in tax paid services. Republican states on average use use far more in federal aid than they pay in federal taxes.

 

Conservatives want the rich to pay less taxes and the middle class to pay more.

thats what happens in the GOP tax plan.

 

The states that use the most tax dollars are the poor impoverished states like California

And not just humans, but ALL people.

So any corporation which receives subsidies (corporate welfare) has all it's executives and shareholders banned from voting.

Yes it does. And it also takes into account the hundreds of billions of dollars Texas gets in tax subsidies to their already profitable oil industry.

Democrats don't want to pay more income taxes, they want the 53% of Americans who pay all the income taxes to pay more for free stuff for them! The last time we had a tax cut & reform like this, was in 1963 by JFK. When questioned by his fellow democrats why it was a 10% cut across the board, he replied "A rising tide lifts all boats." Guess what happened, the economy grew, unemployment went down and revenue to the treasury went up! The democrats after JFK became economically stupid and invested in the culture of class envy! If the same thing happens in 2018, they will have egg on their face and have permanently lost the "economy issue" with middle America!

Technically, it may be true that many/most of the highest consuming states of government aid are indeed red. With that being said, the biggest recipients of government aid are undeniably people in the lowest economic quintile. Democrats win the lowest income quintile by HUGE margins in EVERY state in the union. While they may reside in a red state, the recipients of that aid are overwhelmingly Democrat. With that being the case, it is wholly misleading, bordering on an outright lie, to claim that the people who complain about high taxes are the ones using the most government aid. You are allowing your partisanship to trump common sense. Of course the people complaining about taxes are the ones paying taxes, NOT the ones receiving government aid.

Per capita, California doesn't give that much more than it receives. California is slightly below average...

I didn't say it did. But the fact remains that 9 out of the top 10 states who have the biggest debts to the federal government are red states.

 

They are dependent on govt. Govt is dependent on taxes. Ergo, they are dependent on taxes.

 

I'll tell you what if you send me 20 bucks a week I'll oppose these tax cuts
