LOL...got proof to back up this nonsense?

According to this new tax law, that would be most if not all executives and shareholders.

Donald - you need to keep from using a leading question when you post a topic.

These two posts answer the OP's question "why do Democrats want to pay more taxes".

Democrats in general aren't looking to pay more taxes themselves, they are looking to get everyone else to pay more taxes. Roughly half of the country doesn't even pay income taxes, and those poorest people (who are getting their "free sh*t" paid for by hardworking taxpayers) are more likely to be Democrats and are going to keep voting for their own best interests (more "free sh*t".) This was part of the reason for the uprising of the middle class and their support of Trump in this election. The middle class is tired of being bled dry to pay for a bunch of people who won't support themselves.

I don't think people receiving welfare should be allowed to vote. If they can't even figure out how to support themselves how good can their judgment be on other issues affecting the nation? And of course they are more likely to vote for whoever promises them the most free stuff, and not for the good of the country as a whole. It's sort of like letting children vote on whether or not they have to eat vegetables or can they have candy every day.

I know. Doesn't make a bit of sense, does it? It's because the more taxes everyone pays, the more welfare recipients can continue to get, and then they get it burned into their brains that as long as they continue to vote Democrat, they will continue to get their check. So it actually does make sense.

So tired of that big lie. I make $35,000/yr. Do you really think I will pay more $$ than President Trump this year? And before you speak of percentage, do you really think the percentage of my taxes will be higher than his? No to both. So how exactly are the rich going to pay less than I do?

I think any company that has a federal contract should be banned from lobbying the federal government.

After decades of welfare, unabated immigration, the USA has become more diverse and more dependent on government. We have millions of Americans that don't live a life exhibiting personal responsibility, work ethic and want others to support them. Government has influenced academia in ways that teach today's students that government, income equality and diversity is good, conservatism is not popular in academia today. It's this simple.

Yea I know, but what percentage of people really want to be poor over having a job?

I don't think it's so much an issue of "wanting to be poor" instead of having a job, the issue is that welfare benefits equal what you'd earn with some low skill jobs, so why bother getting a job. (If welfare recipients found themselves without a house, without a cell phone, and facing hunger, a job might seem more appealing....but not so with our current system.) Some people truly are so lazy they would rather take a smaller amount of free money, rather than learn a skill or work harder for more money -- especially since then you'll just be taxed to death to cover welfare anyhow. Generational welfare recipients are also a problem, because that's what they've grown up with and that's all they've known.

Yes. Absolutely. The system is inherently flawed in that it doesn't provide enough incentive for people to improve themselves and get off welfare.

You want services, it comes with a price tag attached. If people don't want services that's fine but then don't complain when you need help and none is forthcoming.

Oh really? then why did they pass the tax bill? People are starting to learn that they were sold a bill of goods that will hurt a lot of people including people from your state of Indiana.

Either the Republicans have to reduce spending or we have to pay more taxes ... this whole borrow and spend thing the Republicans and Democrats have going is bull s**t.
The debt has climbed over $1.5 trillion since Trump took office and his first budget proposal was asking for more money, not less.

Taxation is actually what make the rich richer. Thus why the super wealthy tends to be Democratic. Mark Cuban is left of center, Buffett is left of center, the rich favor Democrats more than they do Republicans.
