<Mod Edit> I thought we talked in the other thread that there are many other possibilities to prevent gun violence besides....GUN CONTROL!!!. <Mod Edit>
Since we're talking about people rights and how kids are more important.......how about we limit internet activities and specifically social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.....to save kids lives. Studies are being published and have been for a few years that these kinds of programs are hurting our kids. What do ya say......legislate that private companies that allow (somewhat) free speech be limited?
How did that work for the kids in Florida. The "kid" was trouble from a long time back and both the feds and local LEOs knew it, but he still walked and somehow never made it on the "he's nuts" list.
Since guns have not changed for 50 years but school shootings have, what do you think has changed? INHO, there are plenty of other things that have. A victim mentality pushed by progressive ideology. The abandonment of religion and traditions, again a progressive ideology. The push to medicate any behavior issue. The acceptance of single parent families. I could go on.
<Reply to Deleted> These shootings are the fault of the shooter. The shooter could have any ideology but it certainly isnt progressives or conservatives fault. It is conservatives, moderates, progressives and everyones responsibility to ensure their community functions in such a manner to not allow such people to be able to shoot so many other people.
You do appreciate that your opinion on guns is not universal. That most of the world do not share the opinion that is popular on this board that you share. <Reply to Deleted>

You show me one quote that says reducing media exposure reduces gun deaths. Just one. Is it bad for you? Sure. So is McDonalds.
<Off-topic> There are a myriad of reasons for the problems that the US is having with gun violence. Some people believe it's because of the illegality of drugs, some from social media, some from the deterioration of the "nuclear family", some from our poor education system, <Mod Edit> Our problem may be caused by all of those reasons, some of those reasons, one of those reasons, or none of those reasons, <Mod Edit>
All of those indicate that it increases the violence in people. If that somehow can't translate into gun violence you are missing something. That is not how science works. First a problem develops, then you make a hypothesis as to why it developed, you then conduct studies to determine if your hypothesis is correct. If it is, you publish the results and try to affect change though policy.......(This is the part where you come in and say......let's try it, instead of SHOW ME EVIDENCE......GUN CONTROL). Problem is policy like this will never get through because people like you won't hear it, "because it's never worked before." It will also not be implemented because of the interest groups that will lose money if it is implemented.
