Just another way Evangelicals are bringing us closer to God - now every child in the country knows the name of the most world's most famous porn star...

...who was doing the now president without a condom, when he was getting his new bride pregnant!

    At least she spanked him.

Not my point at all. I made no reference to what the cbo reported. I clearly referred to the passing of the spending bills that lead to the deficits.

We can discuss economy all we want but there's a massive debt and there are interest rates to be paid. Let's face it, the only reason the USA is kept afloat is the borrowing. Your economy isn't really working. What are you going to do about it? Judging by history there's going to be another major war. Whenever elites couldn't solve their own economic problems they started a major war.

    It's over 21 trillion USD.

Of course. we are concerned about EVERY employed person, not just a subset.
No it isn't, it doesn't even measure a full fifth of the US economy.

What if corrupt American Oligarchs acquire all the government's debt and then claim ownership of lawmakers?

Wait a minute, haven't the Kochs already acted out this scenario?

Can they sell GOP lawmakers in a slave market? Would anyone buy a used lawmaker?

As a proud fiscal conservative, I have to say to my Republican friends:

This is what happens when you pass tax cuts without spending cuts.

MAGA republicans are not good at math. But they understand what happens when the feces meets the fan.

Well, I study university level mathematics so I'd say I've got my math mostly down pat.

Democrats are no better. Both parties are hooked on the crack cocaine that is printing and borrowing money, and will suffer massive withdrawals if they cease use.

Now US faces the prospect of the simultaneous incidence of record debt, rising interest, and declining revenue, and record sustained budget deficits which create a need for increasing the debt further.

The debt curve will be rising at rates that will render it uncontrollable.

You can cut taxes as the Republicans want, or raise spending as the Democrats want. So long as you cut spending or raise taxes respectfully.

Which of these options you lean towards is value dependent.

No Republican POTUS has initiated a sustained reduction in spending. My perception is that military will get more than infrastructure gets and revenue will decline further during Trump's tenure.

Trump already knows that the military is getting more than they need by the suggestion that military budget can be used for the Trump fence.

Of course the military is getting more than it needs. The original conception of the framers was that there would be no standing army, lest they embark on foreign adventures to justify their salaries.

I support a system not unlike Switzerland's. Armed neutrality. No standing army.

Trump, like Obama, Bush and Clinton, will not give his base of rabbits the carrots they so desire. That would defeat the purpose of political power: to accumulate still more power and to guarantee incumbancy.

Typical conservative. You are grossly misinformed. The US debt is currently over $20 trillion.

Putting aside that you obviously just made that up, can you point out to even one time when tax cuts REDUCED the national debt?

Interest payments on debt are a growing part of the budget and destined to become the dominant part of the budget. "In fact, interest is by far the fastest growing part of the budget."

The Republicans have created a fiscal nightmare as "the national debt is skyrocketing and on an unsustainable course"

The wall will be needed to stop Americans seeking refuge when the debt feces hits the fiscal fan.

Sure let's talk about Obama and how we went from the second worst economy in American history to record gains by the end of his term and continued to grow as Trump took over. You disagree?

Wages and inflation along with rising home prices are making it difficult for a lot of people who aren't billionaires

The Soviet Union used to publish exactly the same figures and reports as the Obama administration did. They lived in a parallel reality. Those Obama years will be remembered as McDonald's economy years. (part-time/temps).
