What about reading, history, English, literature? None are "science". Should we educate people and teach them to think, expose them to the major ideas that have shaped the world they live in? Or do you just want little "progressive" drones that just always sit there and nod their heads to whatever you say?
So when a government imposes a tax, how do they ensure that people won't simply ignore their imposition?
The threat of prosecution and possible fines/imprisonment. NOT the threat of violence or bodily harm. Are you going to provide the data I requested and at least TRY to show you did not make this garbage up? Or is your intent to continue distraction attempts.....if so I am not interested.
Imprisonment? What if a the person doesn't wish to be imprisoned? What might happen then? Let's see where we're at. You're saying that taxation isn't violence, right? But taxation is enacted by law, and law is enforced by...?
One of the posters is trying to get to the point to equate government laws (taxation, for instance) with violence against the citizen. I know, but there it is.
You have never heard of someone being arrested for tax fraud or tax evansion? Ever hear of Al Capone? It probably happens every day in this country.
Statism refers to the ideology that some people have a divine right to initiate violence against others because they are part of the state. We who oppose statism think that all people should follow the same ethical rules: Don't mess with other people's bodies or their property.
We the People do have the right to organize the governments we want, as long as those entities govern with the consent of We the People. Libertarianism is nothing more than "got off my lawn" thinking expanded to "I don't want to pay taxes for the road I drive on."
Typical libertarian nonsense. Context and content invalidate your intent, Longshot. The best answer is that no one cares what libertarians think.
No theory including evolution in schools. Evolution is NOT science, it is a theory based on another mans non factual studies.
Pay your taxes in full and on time. Theft is committed by those who don't pay their taxes in full and on time; they are stealing from their fellow Americans, who have to pick up the slack.
Theft is committed when one's property is taken. When someone doesn't pay their taxes, whose property are they taking?
Those thieves who do not pay their taxes are stealing from others who must make up the difference in higher taxes. The true American always reports tax evaders to the IRS. It is moral to avoid taxes legally but never evaders. They need to go to jail like my sister-in-law did for 17 months.
