I'm not even outraged. I'm that guy that snickers when the 'prep' crowd does something stupid and tells them so. To me, it's absolutely hilarious that no one predicted a possible negative outcome. It's not that "Oh, well at least we informed them about it and gave them the choice to opt out". It's the fact that this stupidity shouldn't even be happening in the first place.

If I were a parent, I'm not sending my kid to your school to have him protest. I'm sending him there, to be educated. In the 21st century, we can't even get that right.

Sometimes, this country looks hopeless. Exhibit A: This kid's unneccessary, totally avoidable death all because of these grandstanding idiots.

Totally avoidable had he not tried to cross a freeway.

Also totally avoidable if there weren't a plausible 'excuse' to escape school grounds to begin with lol. School is the ultimate safe space, remember? Isn't that why this protest exists to begin with?(I'm going to keep trying to find ways to make you see how oxymoronic the whole movement is.)

    Other dumb finger-pointing possibilities...
    • If guns weren't legal, the kid wouldn't have been protesting, therefore the NRA is responsible.
    • If the parents had kept the kid home that day, he'd be alive, therefore the parents are responsible.

Hogg is not responsible for this. Shame on you for saying so. This child chose to leave the school grounds on his own. If he did that, he could have done it at any other time. The child is dead due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. Children and adults are hit by cars. They are accidents. Accusing Hogg or the school of this death is beyond despicable.

He could have played truant at any time. If he did it then, he is the type to do it any time. He was that kind of kid.

Schools have outside activities all the time. A kid can choose to walk off during any one of those. You people are just scrapping the bottom of the bowl looking for any reason to stop free speech on the part of these kids who want to protest for gun control. Shame, shame, shame. These kids are trying to make themselves safe. The school is allowing them their free expression. The only thing pro-gun people care about is allowing the school massacres to continue. They don't care about this one kid.

They don't care about 17 being killed, and they don't care about this one kid. Just using him to further their cause. Shame, shame, shame.

If the kid ran away from school during the day libs would have an excuse

But he was released by the lib educators who were supposed to be watching him

A million times: education is not controlled by liberals. I taught for 30 years. The teachers and administrators are a mixed bag of liberals, conservatives, very religious people, non-religious people, men and women, heterosexuals, gays, old hippies, yuppies, gen-exes, people from all races, religions and ethnicities, everything.

The people who teach and run our schools are a reflection of our society. Our education system is not controlled by liberals. What we have in education today is MODERN EDUCATION FOR A MODERN WORLD.

I have taught half of my 30 years in the states the other half in 4 different countries overseas. I taught in international schools with students and teachers from all over the world. Everything is the same. The curriculum is the same. Any of those schools would have protests and walk outs. In the last school I was in, in another country, the students did a walk out for diabetes: they went outside the school and walked around the neighborhood to show that exercise is important for diabetes. Any kid could have walked off if he/she wanted to. That kind of thing happens all the time in schools. They also had a yearly weekend 5K walk sponsored by the PE department. Again, any kid could have walked off during those.

The kids are not locked in classrooms all day long everyday. If a kid wants to play truant, he/she can at almost any time. And this isn't anything new. When I was in high school 50 years ago, our school was a couple of blocks away from a shopping center. Kids played truant there all the time.

This thing about the American education system being controlled by liberals is propaganda, probably gotten from people like Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh, people who will say any untruth just to work people up and cause divisiveness in our country.

Education is totally controlled by liberals from the universities teaching education to the smallest classroom

The only reason liberals fail to admit that is the lousy results of their work

That is a lie. Propaganda. I taught in community colleges and universities. The population of faculty and administration in higher education is the same as in all of our schools: a mixed bag that reflects our society. Get a clue and stop being manipulated by propaganda the goal of which is to create uproar and divisiveness in our society, and to make millions of dollars for those who shout out this propaganda. You are being manipulated.

He doesn't. These people who criticize our educators and education system know next to nothing about it in general much less its day to day activities and goals.

I think you are the one spreading propaganda

As I said, if the results were not so bad liberals would be happy to take credit instead of having to avoid blame

Have you checked to see if the school has a right to physically restrain a student who is determined to leave?

well if we follow the leftist regressive logic if people weren't allowed to have cars this would have never happened. Maybe it's time to think about some legislation to ban the ownership of cars. What do you really need it for?

Bwa ha ha ha ha, Go protest for taking away rights...lol... have yourself a ball doing it it's not going to matter cuz most people like having more rights rather than fewer.

well I don't feel the slightest bit of Shame and no one should and I'm going to point and laugh at them. Protesting against rights is a losing battle.

yes don't be stupid in the streets. You have all the right to express your profound stupidity just don't have the freedom from being told how stupid it is to protest against freedom.

so people that don't agree with you or Monsters?

Have you heard of self-awareness do you know what it means?

You aren't going to shame anybody what you doing here is practicing hypocrisy you did the same exact thing with the kids that survived the shooting.

Again when you wake your little lecturing finger at me I'm pointing and laughing at you because you have lost every shred of credibility you could have ever possibly had.

So do to your lack of self-awareness you didn't really have any to begin with
This person Lacks any ability to be rational he basically said if you're pro-gun that you don't care about kids and then he tried to shame you.

Point and laugh. He supports protesting against rights anti Civil Rights Movement it's so incredibly opposite of what any rational person would think it would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

This level of derangement should be mercilessly mocked. He deemed everyone that disagrees with him to be a child hating monster. You don't agree with him so you want kids to die that's what he said that's what he thinks there's no rationalizing with that.

Let them wear those stupid little black masks and throw a fit in the streets but the second they lay a hand on you put them in the cemetery.

    See the singled out sentence.

He literally believes you don't care if someone's son or daughter dies in gun fight at school.

That is an attack on you. He is slandering you. Because his arguments are bad and defeated and he knows it.

What he's doing is trying to shame you. Then he States a blatant lie saying that you are against free speech when he's against the Bill of Rights

That is the intellectual equivalent of calling you a poo poo head.

The problems are problems with our society and modern life. It has nothing to do with liberals any more than anyone else. Conservatives blame everything on liberals. Only losers blame everything on someone else.
