Your hatred of youth causes you to be unable to look at things cogently: Oliver North who helped actually fund real live terrorists (even if they were the terrorists we supported) attacked Hogg and his character, calling him a terrorist. All Hogg did was respond to that completely asinine attack with an actual fact about the Iran-Contra scandal and North's participation in the scheme.

This is going to shock you. While they both have a service record, Oliver North and John McCain are different people with very different past histories. Not only is it permissible to distinguish their characters and their pasts, it is obligatory to so distinguish, if you have any brains. You are going to have to pay some attention to what those 'hate bombs' say and what they refer to, to see if it is logical to call others hypocrites. There was this little matter of Watergate in the past of one veteran, and there was no Watergate in the past of the other. They said different things in the course of their lives and those different quotes frame how people see them. . One has a voting record as a Senator on which we partially judge, while the other has been on trial for several criminal charges on which we partially judge.

I will also remind you that the left will not waste their time proving anything to people too dumb to understand that two veterans are still two wholly disparate persons and will inevitably not be worthy of the same treatment.

Trump criticised McCain for having served in Vietnam and for having been captured. He criticised McCain, who endured torture.

North called Parkland activists civil terrorists. Hogg pointed out that, having sold arms to Iran, North should know something about terrorism. Which is a fair point, since Trump, just a couple of days ago, repeatedly called Iran a state sponsor of terrorism.

It isn't about criticising a Vietnam vet. What Trump did was to criticise McCain specifically FOR his service in Vietnam. Can you imagine how the right would have reacted if Obama had made that comment about McCain? But you give Trump a pass. Absolutely zero principles.

North 100 percent commited those felonies.
North helped illegally sell weapons to Iran, helped illegally fund a terrorist organization, helped destroy incriminating documents and was found guilty of accepting an illegal gratuity, aiding and abetting in the obstruction of a congressional inquiry, and ordering the destruction of documents, but those convictions were overturned because it was deemed that his testimony in congress could not be used against him.
He did demonstrably commit felonies, it's just that he benefited from our legal system and a technicality was used to get him off the conviction (not disputing the overturn, as it is one of the foundations of our legal system (the right not to self incriminate) , which somehow when cops beat a confession out of a guy people scream out that a criminal piece of crap got out on a technicality, but here you North supporters now call it misconduct)
North did all of those things, he has just not been held legally accountable for them.

 

I'm surprised Hogg is still in the news. This kid has had his 15 minutes of fame, and it didn't go well for him. Under the spotlight, he self-destructed, which is not a surprise since he's just a kid.
