I think it's time for Israel to consider declaring generous temporary borders for a demilitarized Palestine with a land bridge between the West Bank and Gaza through the Negev. Israel can hold out the prospect of negotiating permanent borders as part of final peace agreement.

I agreed with everything you said up to this point. I'm sympathetic to the many Palestinians who want peace but are unable to influence the events. I also have sympathy for the Palestinians who are unable to see the futility of their position.

 

Where should it all go from here? There are literally millions of Israeli Jews and Palestinians who know no other home and have nowhere else to go.

What I find "funny" is the fact that the US is vetoing an independent investigation of the incidents in the UN Security Council ... as always, as soon could somehow be somewhat negative for Israel.

Funny, when Russia did the same to its puppet Assad on the alleged poison gas attacks, they were just insulted by the Americans!
