Shouldn't Mueller close the investigation once they rule out collusion? That was the purpose of the whole charade. Why should the investigation go beyond that?

Yes, it's all under investigation.

Yes, all claims must eventually be proven. And for a Special Counsel to be called there has to strong evidence that a crime has been committed. Such was not the case in this Mueller investigation.

 

Well then what criminal activities were there that Comey wanted a Special Counsel to be called and what illegal activities were behind the reason Rosenstein called for an Investigation.

There was certainly no 'break-in', for example. So which demonstrated crime are they investigating??

 

Before or after they deleted all the information they wanted gone? An image only copies the current information, anything deleted can only be gotten from the hardware. See when you delete files the clusters are flagged as being available to the O/S and are overwritten as needed. The information is still there but just not seen and it's overwritten. I got a free Concrete driveway because my contractor neighbor was going through a messy divorce and his ex-wife deleted all his business files. He wisely called me immediately and didn't shut the machine down or do anything to it. I was able to recover all but 4 files that were destroyed when his wife shut the machine down after the dirty deed. I used a program called Lost & Found.

Ahh, good point, but there are programs that make copies everything so they still get those clusters.
Just because they aren't in the FAT table doesn't mean they are not still on disk. Do you really think the FBI doesn't have the best resources and the people that know how to use them?
When I worked for Maxtor we called ours Max-blast. It's still around at Seagate, but I'm not sure it works the same now.
