A simple fact that is very hard to argue against.

Criminals prefer unarmed victims.

Dictators prefer unarmed citizens.

So why does the left want to disarm people in the country?

 

When has the US had a dictator?

 

They want to take away guns because the left doesn't have any teeth or claws. They are like a bunch of bunnies munching on grass in a large field, and the only reason they can't sit there and eat, fornicate, and defecate is because there are predators who have guns.

A predator will see other predators and thank gawd that they have teeth and claws, while the bunnies are just sitting there wondering why the world could be so cruel to allow wolves to wander around gobbling up defenseless bunnies.

The communism they see as being inevitable is that large field full of veggies to munch on. Each bunny only needs so much grass, and there's no reason for some bunnies to be fat while others are skinny.

So, the US, that has a history of fighting against dictators, is somehow going to become a dictatorship. You know...the very thing we’ve always been against.

 

We have never had a dictator. But, we have also never been without guns.

Both democrats and republicans have claimed that the other wants to be a dictator. If there is no concern about dictators, why do they both keep saying it.

 

Taking away guns is only one facet in a multi -pronged appraoch the "progressives" have formulated to kill the Constitution and replace our Republic with a dictatorship.

2. Take over the education system and use it to propagandize the students
3. Take over the transportation system
4. Marginalize the Police
5. Take obver the buraucracy
6. Take away their guns

Why do both sides keep saying that nonsense about the other side wanting to be a dictator? Simple...both sides are idiots. Just because both sides say that it doesn’t mean it’s true.
Both sides always say the other side is going to ‘destroy’ the country. Yet that hasn’t happened has it? Let’s see.....I heard from the left that Bush was going to destroy the country. Never happened. I heard from the Right Obama was going to destroy the country. Never happened. Now we are hearing from the Left again that Trump is going to destroy the country. And when the next Dem gets in WH....yup you guessed it. The Right will whine again about how THAT guy is going to destroy the country. Everyone is acting like a bunch of hysterical schoolgirls.

We've tried having an honest dialogue about guns, natural rights, and have repeatedly asked some very relevant questions, only to be thrown irrelevant statistics about gun violence with absolutely no attempt at intellectual honesty.

Can you blame us for being highly suspicious of people who simply refuse to give honest answers to direct questions?

 

Nor does it mean it is not true. I don't think it will happen either. But I don't intend to give up my guns willingly just because the odds are against it. I figure my guns help weigh the odds in my direction.

 

But here’s the thing. Both sides are trying to have an honest debate and ask relevant questions. It’s just that both sides are so entrenched in their belief that they aren’t willing to see that maybe the other side has its points. You don’t have to agree with those points but we should at least be able to see them. But we don’t. We put up blinders and refuse to see any point from the other side. Trust me....neither side is perfectly noble in this debate.
The Left is so entrenched they don’t want to hear that we shouldn’t punish the tens of millions of lawful gun owners for the relatively few who misuse guns for evil things.
The Right is so entrenched that all they hear is ‘everyone is out to grab up ALL the guns.’

Where are those relevant points from the left? Irrelevant statistics about gun violence? References to some countries that are less violent than the states but have stronger gun regulations, while ignoring those countries that are more violent and also have stronger gun regulations, or those that have less gun violence and allow people to own guns without restrictions?

It's just cherry picking data, and that naturally makes me think there's an agenda, rather than simply coming straight out with the argument for more regulations on guns. Hell, every time there's a school shooting, the left ignores the fact that these damn schools are "gun free zones", but for some reason, they think that expanding that gun free zone is going to result in something wonderful.

No! I don't know about my fellow conservatives, but the lack of intellectual honesty from the left is so staggeringly obvious that I'm naturally going to think they have a secret agenda. You guys had your chance for years to come to the table with your argument, and for years, you've balked.
