I refer to political economy. You don't. That socialists fought both fascism and state capitalism has already been mentioned with Orwell. Let's be honest now, someone that says socialism=liberalism=fascism=communism isn't going to be particularly clued up!

Exactly what our Founders said and they were clued up enough to create greatest country in human history by far. Now do you understand? How are you liking your taste of new world freedom??
Your founders, although they did have slaves, made no such claim and suggesting otherwise isn't cunning!
the people think they stand for free markets, liberty and fiscal conservatism. Even you get their collectivism confused with capitalism.
A LONG HISTORY OF US WEALTH INEQUALITY QUOTE="rahl, post: 1069207588, member: 47629"]Aristotle and Jefferson weren't republicans. the republican party wasn't created until the mid 1800's.[/QUOTE] Only you care about the words. Most of us care about the facts. We overthrew a British King who was milking the "colonies" for his own personal benefit - and through him a clique of families kissing-his-you-know-what. Only to install a group of super-rich kinglets who started to amass riches in a boundless 18th century dynamic fueled by the Industrial Age - and now repeating itself with the Information Age brought on by the Internet since the early 1990s. And people like you evidently think it's all been a natural progression. It isn't natural. Not with the upper-income rip-off taxation schedules ever since 1913. Graphic: US Wealth Inequality* (from Wealth Inequality in the United States) Now is the moment to do something about America's arch inequality. It's NOW OR NEVER, because once social-sentiments become hardened into fact human history tells us clearly that only a bloody revolution changes the rules. We are presently in a rampage of Wealth Generation brought about by the Internet. That Wealth Generation should be shared equitably, because we are all - willing or not - making it happen ... *CBO Chart, U.S. Holdings of Family Wealth 1989 to 2013. The top 10% of families held 76% of the wealth in 2013, while the bottom 50% of families held 1%.
It's simply a supply and demand issue. Perhaps a bloody war is the more rational solution? Our Nation was founded on the principle of individual freedom NOT collectivism, we each are created equal with the right to govern ourselves. Democracies work quite well in small populations where the members can achieve agreements peacefully and those who cannot or will not accept the agreements of the majority are free to move elsewhere, where they find the majority to be agreeable. Our Federal government was created to protect the societies collectively, not the individual people within them. This does not mean that rules produced by the Federal government should not have intent to protect individuals, only that the Federal government should assure compliance, i.e. the Federal minimum wage law should simply state that each State MUST determine a minimum wage to be applied to all work performed within their State, NOT an amount. People have the greatest control and voice over their government at the local level, where those elected live among them. State governments are less available to the people who are forced to deal with State government through their Representatives and lobbyists, and the Federal government is simply too isolated from the people to be controlled by any but the political parties, moneyed activists, lobbyists, large corporations, banks, etc. The Federal Reserve along with the 16th amendment passed in 1913 by Wilson always comes to mind as the initial source of our problems. I'm expecting a move by government in the future to eliminate currency entirely, simply moving to an accounting system where all income/spending will be nothing more than a record entry in a database, maintained by the Federal government or perhaps a more centralized World government database?
Well, R's are in control of gov't. If Tesla is receiving subsidies by the gov't, they R's are responsible for that also. Not rocket science.
Where exactly did that trickle down end up? IPhone is made in China. How many are employed in US looking for a cure for cancer. Exactly how are those related to trickle down? I know how, they help the middle class wages, ZERO.
Who would be responsible at this time for gov't subsidies to Tesla? So much for your angst against both parties, eh.
I've not seen you say anything bad about R and their funding you personally don't like. So much for parroting.
Then you haven't read my many posts regarding bid spending, authoritarian, liberty stripping, world policing neocons. But thanks for the spew. Polly wanna cracker?
things are made all over world. What matters is they trickled or flooded down to 120 million wealthy Americans who could afford to buy them. Its the perfect result!
very very easy to fix middle class wages. Eliminate liberal unions regulations and taxes that drove 20 million jobs to China .Then let Donald ship 30 million illegals home to put still further huge upward pressure on American wages. You have learned this 24 times. Must we go for 25?
Consumerism isn't trickle down. Catch up now! At best you should be referring to "socialist" analysis such as creative destruction
we didn't police world before World war 1 and 2 and learned it is far less deadly to use police rather than wait till you need military.
having the wealth necessary to consume enough for a high standard of living is due to Christian Republican flood down capitalism!. Now do you understand?
Saintly Republicans try not to fund which is why they have introduced 30 Balanced Budget Amendments. When there is enough support you will see govt cut in half or more.
Nope. Christian Republicanism achieves nothing of economic note, except to vote in rich politician and corrupt social decision-making. It amuses me that you can't understand trickle down. It was deliberately made simplisitic drivil to manipulate the easy manipulated. Where is your confusion?
But having been feted by the Obama administration, [Musk]he now faces an extraordinary barrage of attacks from rightwing think tanks, lobbyists, websites and commentators. The character of the assault says much about which way the political wind is blowing in Washington – something that will have consequences that stretch far beyond the US. Saintly Republicans will completely eliminate subsidies the second there is enough support to do so.
