Is there a valid excuse for those committing crimes?

    Poverty.

Not an excuse, but an attenuating factor.

It's not poverty. I've lived in desperately poor countries and felt absolutely safe. It's culture.

    I fixed it for you.
And we are in favor of the business's choice, but we do not have to like it nor will the courts time and resources be wasted.

It is still culture. Everyone has the same chances. Only in America is it based on perceptions if favored politically favored classes.

If you can’t make it in America, you can’t make it anywhere.

So if I wanted to close my shop to a group of Taliban terrorists, would that be ok? What about the KKK, can i refuse service to that "group"? Some people think dressing up like a woman is despicable, what about those people?

The problem with discrimination is you can't pick and choose. Either you have the right to refuse service or you don't. Refusing service to Sanders is discrimination. The "group" she belongs to in this scenario is, people who support Trump.

Restaurant owner explains why she asked Sanders to leave

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...and-would-do-it-again/?utm_term=.ae9b8e68433a

She has a lot of Gay staff who wanted Sanders to go.

She says the values of compassion, cooperation and honesty.

And she knew — she believed — that Sarah Huckabee Sanders worked in the service of an “inhumane and unethical” administration. That she publicly defended the president’s cruelest policies, and that that could not stand.

I agree, and as for the restaurant owner she just destroyed the jobs of her employees as well as doomed her business; because Right of Center citizens ARE going to boycott her business, and she doesn't have ENOUGH loyal leftists in the area to keep her going financially for month after month after month.

I never said that I didn't like to boycott. I've always considered it to be a viable political tool. Some Right of Center people don't care for boycotts and some do. You see, the Right is not like the typical lock step party loyal leftist. Right of Center people tend to actually think for themselves. Sadly, the average leftist is apparently unable to grasp this concept. I think it makes them break out in hives.

Exactly, the food & beverage industry is difficult and fickle enough without alienating 62% of your potential customers. I would imagine that the majority of the other 38% are liberal leftist young people that live 'in town' and work in subsistence level jobs like the waiters at this restaurant.........folks that can afford to eat out at a pricey restaurant like this about once a year when their parents come to town and pick up the tab........they are getting ready to learn an important lesson in economics......along with their self important lesbo boss.........

I am basically a conservative. I was a Republican half of my adult life and am now an Independent. And all of this liberal this and liberal that is bs. This is about decency, liberty, and American values.

The crackpot didn't have any point. And Sanders is a despicable person. Anyone defending trump day after day with lies and bs spin are despicable people.

I'd toss her ass and any of trump's despicable people, or trump himself, out of my establishment as well. I wouldn't cater to thugs.

MS 13 and the the Russian Mafia would be kicked out as well. So it isn't bias. I treat all criminals the same.

Righties said that? ALL righties had a convention and agreed to this? Yeah - I don't think so. I believe boycotting stuff is neither a left nor right issue, but rather something we all have the freedom to do. Heck, I remember plenty of conservative boycotts that happened going back as far as the 80's. My earliest memory of a boycott was that against Anita Bryant by the left in the late 70's - although there were many before that from all sides of the political aisle, that's just the first one I remember.

As Natty Bumpo might say, the imaginary righties living inside your head aren't quite the same ones that exist in a little place we call "reality".

Bottom line: You're fine with a business tossing Sanders out? I'm okay with that so long as you're fine with this restaurant dealing with the consequences OF that action.

I absolutely 100% support the baker who did not make a wedding cake for a gay wedding. Are you also consistent?
