Rather than claiming the liberal label, why not just be yourself? I believed what I believed and held to my viewpoints before Trump, and I will continue to after Trump. Why would I let others change me? And so, why should you?

You left off restoring ISIS to power in the M.E. Many liberals are outraged that President Trump authorized the military to destroy ISIS. If there aren't Americans coming home in body bags in perpetual police action wars they can get VERY upset. Then, infuriating globalists, many liberals and progressives and the Democratic Party, the President refused to get into perpetual war in Syria or to directly attack the Russian military in Syria as Hilary Clinton vows.
Progressive has come to mean corporate fascism globalist. In most regards, being a progressive is the diametric opposite of being a liberal, nor did liberals worship the super rich. Try to find any message by a "progressive" on this forum condemning Amazon and Jeff Bezos for paying only $1 over minimum wage in his distribution centers - while at the same time is becoming the first trillion dollar corporation - or condemning either Amazon or Google, though both hire less than 10% blacks and Latinos combined. Of course there will be no criticism. The global super rich and their PR propaganda MSM and print outlets they literally own are like gods to many American progressives. Thus, for example, progressives rant against anything that is in opposition the tariff-free products imported from foreign child labor sweatshops the super rich use to suck hundreds of billions out of the USA and Americans into their own pockets. Liberals always opposed mass numbers of low skilled immigrants - which has always been pushed by the super rich for cheap labor. Progressives, to the contrary, are the greatest enemy working class and blue collar workers have.
When I Use A Word It Means What I Want It To Mean. It is a matter of whether the word controls the man or the man controls the word (W.C. Fields). The term Progressive has certainly become obfuscated. Y'think the rich did it to confuse their opposition? I use the term in its' classic, pre WW2 meaning. The only way it makes sense. Keeping the difference between a Progressive and a Liberal being the Tax Code. Some nations get around this by having a Labor (Progressive) Party along with Liberal and Conservative Parties.
Tecoyah: I'm more or less in your camp politically, although with respect to voting, we should never say never. Trump is a symptom of the failure of the traditional Republican Party, but politics is not a morality play. People can learn from their mistakes. Trump will pass. The problem will arise then, what to do? Perhaps the Democrats will be transformed into a sensible party, although that doesn't seem very likely right now. Perhaps a new party will emerge from the wreckage of both parties. American politics has always, by the standards of other countries, been rather strange. But even other countries are seeing lots of electoral fluidity as the world changes. In any case, sensible people, whatever they call themselves, should stay in politics and keep arguing for their ideas.

You're walking away from a party that is sharing and actively implementing at the very least three (highlighted in red), and potentially all five or six of your views and joining a movement which ideas you describe as utterly ludicrous and lunatic and which stands against all of your views and beliefs? Here's the thing that Trump supporters should keep in mind: it's not a good idea to make a Virtue out of a Necessity. It may well be that Trump was the Lesser Evil compared to That Woman. There is nothing wrong in choosing a lesser evil -- hell, we allied with Stalin against Hitler. While we were fighting Hitler, it's absolutely understandable that we didn't fill our newspapers about the evils of Stalin. A discrete silence, the minimum of mumbled diplomatic euphemisms, concentration on the heroism of the Russian people ... that was required. It was actually the Left who took the opportunity of this alliance to glorify Soviet Communism -- to turn the patriotism of the ordinary Russian soldier into an advertisement for Communism. But sensible anti-Communists at the time just did what they had to do -- they had no choice but to ally with Stalin but they didn't have to praise him. That's the attitude conservatives should have to Trump.

While TDS explains your inability to see Trump's undeniable achievements, being one of its primary symptoms, you're definitely making the right move under the circumstances, TDS isn't not treatable yet but you will undoubtedly be much happier in the liberal bubble, among fellow TDS sufferers.
