When Ivanka starts selling stuff made from aluminum, steel and soy beans, get back to us.

Until then, good luck with this dog whistle.

So , she's the only US manufacturer not affected by the tariffs?

More, SILLIASS, TDS BULLCRAP, from the increasingly desperate left.

Notice that the low-information left NEVER COMPLAINS about the tariffs the US IS BEING CHARGED BY OTHER NATIONS.

More of their tried and true "ankle-grabbing" worldview in action....

NIKE is also unaffected and they are an extremely liberal corporation.

I guess that means Trump is secretly a liberal huh?

Except that Nike isn't advertised by any paid government official in official business from the White House lawn.

So what, there is nothing wrong with that.

Trump could stick a billboard on the WH lawn if he wanted to.

    What law says he can't?

The first family is allowed to modify the WH in any number of ways. Why couldn't he stick up a sign advertising Ivanka's shoe business?

What law are you referring to?

Are there any other clothing imports that are subject to these tariffs? This is nothing more than a dishonest attempt to trigger outrage. It doesn't take much these days!

Voting ought to require passing a basic civics test.

Chi-com steel and aluminum are in direct competition with American steel and aluminum manufacturers.

China dumps there steel and aluminum in America at cost in which America's steel and aluminum manufactures can't compete.

Chi-com apparel manufactures aren't competing against America apparel manufactures because America no longer makes it's own apparel.

Maybe if President Clinton would have put a tariff on Chi-com apparel during the 1990's those Nike's or Trump ties would be made in the USA today.

    Why?

Do you think that allows people to only make a certain choice?

As it is right now there are plenty of people that could pass a civics test that vote all over the spectrum so what are you hoping for by requiring a basic civics test other than assuming they will vote a certain way?

I can pass a civics test and I voted for Trump, are you claiming that people wouldn't vote for Trump?

    What are you saying exactly?

I see yuo haven't done, or you deliberately turning a blind eye to corruption.

Well there is the Emolments clause.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...fb9411d332c_story.html?utm_term=.092852499d64
“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

    Then there is another article
    https://www.usnews.com/opinion/arti...ing-from-the-presidency-let-us-count-the-ways
    None of this is normal.

Without precedent in U.S. history we have a president who sees profit as the natural and immediate spoils of office. Not only have Trump's predecessors ordinarily divested and disclosed, but the Founding Fathers wrote protections into the Constitution in the form of emolumentsclauses making it illegal for the president to receive gifts from foreign governments or, domestically, from the federal and state governments. Trump faces several lawsuits arguing that he is violating these clauses through his businesses.

I see you don't keep up to date.

Did you read the part that says, "without the consent of congress"?

Well if you had kept up to date you would know that congress has given consent.

But look at it like this....today you learned something new.

Do you have a citation that Congress has given consent for Trump to violate the Emoluments Clause?

This site says Trump has never asked for consent, nor was he given consent.
