We're all DNA, but is Race more DNA, or more Environmental when talking about Racial Evolution?

That would interest me more than tools and artefacts, tbh.
Ever heard of the Asian Flush?
Like Lactose, some Asian people also lack the enzyme to digest beer/alcohol.

Lactose gene is probably there, just dormant and able to activate via epigenome.
Yes to Asian flush. It was the topic of an episode of "Fresh Off The Boat". Not 100%.

Stay with eyelids and ear wax.
    Report back.

I heard Asian people evolved from something different, but, IDK.

I love Fresh Off The Boat.

UK's just recently gotten Season 1, but I've already seen every episode online and I can't wait for Season 5.
It's exactly where I learned about Asian Flush.

Neanderthal DNA is thought to make up between 1 and 3 percent of the genetic code of most people outside Africa. The study by Dannemann et al. (2017) shows that Neanderthal DNA affects skin tone and hair color in present-day Europeans, who became light-skinned because their ancestors interbred with light-skinned Neanderthals. African people have very little Neanderthal DNA because their ancestors didn't make the trip through Eurasia, which is why Africans are still dark-skinned.

This is a fairly popular idea about aliens and Chinese in North China. I have heard it before.

Ultimately about 30 million years ago we all (humans, apes, monkeys, dogs, and cats) had a common ancestor that was cat-like and lived in trees. The tree monkeys then evolved at that point. We still have similar teeth with monkeys and apes and cats and dogs.

The cat stayed in the trees, as did the monkeys.

The dogs came down to the ground, as did the apes.

I have Veteran friends who believe that the Asians were simply the last to leave the trees.

That makes them offshoots as well, like the black skinned peoples.

It seems to me that race (sub-species) is environmental selection of natural variation.

    Not DNA based originally.

If humans lost their hair/fur after they migrated, then the white ones would have lost it along the glaciers of the north, whereas the black ones would have lost it somewhere around Madagascar.

There is only 1 race, the human race.
Just different skin colors and ethnicities. Based on environment.

It's that and breeding with Neanderthals.

    Ethnic, what is Ethnic?
Ethnic to me means my cultural habitat like my language, my cuisine, my music.
My Ethnicity would make me different from a European blooded person from Germany because their ethnic food is different from my Chicken Shop? But not my Race if I'm Western European which goes from France to Germany and Netherlands.

    My Race is....
Probably part Caveman, God, how ironic, the only offshoot is a hybrid Neanderthal human who's probably me, IDK, I haven't taken that DNA test yet, but my Ancestry DNA's different parts European and that's it.

    What is DNA?

If one set of mixed race twins can be born one black one white.

Asian people are a good example of other differences.
But you're right, we all live on one planet, we're only human after all.

I wonder if it's DNA or habitat though, be it DNA cells being dormant in one group of people but active in another making the DNA/genetics the reason we're different? (and no climate/ecosystem/habitat as I've previously thought)..?
Or maybe it's a bit of both with sexual selective breeding of traits thrown in for good measure.

I think that's where you look for your Asian fascination shown in your posts, so I thinking the only answer for 'climate alone theory', would be found
    'beyond Africa and the West.'
The Bamboo forests might be key to eye lids and diet and climate might answer your ear wax.
The answer to all those things that interested you about differences that set the Asian people apart must spawn from this beginning of humankind leaving Africa and meeting the bamboo climate.

You DO have Neanderthal DNA in extremely small part as the only humans who do not are African.

So Whites are the offshoot and Blacks are smarter and stronger?

Firstly...it is likely Neanderthals had similar intelligence to the Homo of the time.
Secondly....we are all "offshoots" of one early hominid or another.
And finally.....you are mostly of the same DNA (95-99%) as every African on Earth.

yes sexual selection plays apart, whatever the female finds an attractive has the upper hand...imagine how popular the first mutation with blue eyes was to the ladies of the group, it still happens today, a different accent, a different hair, eye or skin colour from the dominant cultural norm and you have someone who is getting more sex than the rest...it's a natures way of introducing/encouraging genetic diversity to an insulated group...

I'm guessing a lighter skin( not necessarily euro white) was the original colour of our furry ancestors but as we ventured out on to the african plains and shed our fur so we could sweat when we ran...the darker skin would've evolved as we lost our fur to protect us from the intense sunlight...

There is not even 1% differences in DNA from the different old category of races, Caucasoid, Mongoloid or Negroid and sub-groups.

you just gotta drop the "race" concept, it doesn't exist...what you're seeing is just family resemblance...

dna says you're wrong...we are all related, we are all family, and all originated in africa...you have 7.5 billion cousins...

3 billion bits of data in our DNA, and people want to point out 2 or 3 variations that makes us appear different...probably closer to .00000000001% difference, just a guess on my part I suck at math...
