There's a school bond issue locally. Some local news outlets are saying the bond issue vote is for modernizing and increasing security at an existing facility, other local news outlets are saying the bond issue vote is for building a complete new school.

My conclusion is that a degree in journalism is really, really easy to get and really, really dumb-ass people get into that business.

Previously, I had a good opinion of local journos.

Now I think they are trying to sway voters to vote the way particular local editors want them to vote.

I’ve even following the qanon movement for 7 months. It is massive and global. I would have no problem in suggesting it is in the hundreds of millions world wide. It has been an awesome sight to see.

What is funny is these posters with their hours old knowledge try and explain it away, and even funnier is they haven’t stopped to ponder why their media is telling them to.

What is QAnon??? QAnon or "Q" is suspected to be a Trump insider that communicates with the American people using very brief and sometimes encoded tweets. Q often reveals what's happening behind the scenes and what's going to happen in the near future. Q also provides clues or leads that enables anyone to research independently to seek the truth. There are various people online that help us to interpret Q's tweets. Below is one such person/video.

The people that I know personally who support trump in this red state, have no idea about Q, for they have never heard of the entity. ha ha. And they support and voted for trump. So I guess these supporters have not gotten any lower? ha ha

I know of this deal, Q, but never paid any attention to it. Too cryptic for me, which sent up a red flag. Probably someone just having fun, playing around on the internet. Like democrat trolls.

Jeff Epstein was caught up in the business of child prostitution, investigated by the fbi and scored a sweet non prosecution agreement. The official FBI report is heavily redacted but there is graphic testimony that isn’t redacted from a then 14 year old girl that will make your blood boil.
The media enjoys many rights granted by our constitution and with that comes the responsibility of actual reporting and not just reading script.

We had a long circle jerk of birthers on this forum last week. One of them reignited it by trying to phrase it as a "theoretical question". This brought the entire group of racists out. Of course, they all vehemently denied that their meme was race baiting.

 

That is how much of the right wing blogsphere works. It's evident when you google a trending story.

You'll see it cut and pasted (often without any attribution) in a dozen right wing blogs.

No one ever fact checks any of it either.

I don't know enough about the Q Movement to comment on it, however those were some of my favorite Star Trek Next Generation episodes, so if the Q (as a whole, not the rotten one in the show) are getting involved in our politics, I'd say that's probably a benign, good thing. Everyone knows that the Q Continuum are powerful enough to wipe us out pretty easily if they wanted, so at least they aren't doing that for the time being.

On to the Acosta thing. a) Any honest observer of ANY political stripe would have to agree that Acosta is a troll in his constant, improper to venue hollering out gotcha questions and in his "reporting" demeanor generally. If he had done that to Obama, or "reported" on Obama as he does Trump, the howling would have been pervasive and daily. Live by the sword, die by it. b) Heckling any press or ANYONE in public for that matter, is not, as a matter of fact and not opinion, an "attack" on them until it is an actual attack. Fake news has been full of charged language, "attack," "assault," "threatening," "menacing" to inaccurately describe what actually happened. There was no "menacing" whatsoever, and in some of the clips I saw, people were laughing and smiling while chanting "CNN Sucks." c) People chant all kinds of things at ALL political rallies, and university students do it while actually SHUTTING DOWN free speech every day, several times a day, all over the country. There aren't enough cameras and news crews in the country to cover all -that- "attack on the free press," and even when it is covered, the demonstrably violent behavior of LW is almost always described as "exercising free speech," even when it goes far beyond that. The hypocrisy of the liemedia on this is palpable.

But keep it up, because every time someone sees these hyperbolic assessments in the liemedia (Trump's "Stalinesque" statements about the press, LULZ), then takes a look at what actually happened, the left loses votes, and that's a GREAT thing.

Connections for certain, but there should be no probably about it. That is what freedom of the press is for. We should know.

 

I have no idea or interest. I have no doubt that all news reporting at times contains errors and if you are using a specific situation to paint all reporting as "fake", remember that there a litany of accurate reports.
