Are they protesting white people for unnecessary **** or are they protesting the cops?

 

I understand completely, I served my country for 8 years. And FWIW, I agree with why we take a moment before a game. BUT, that's what it means to people like us, there's absolutely no reason that it must mean the same thing to others. We don't get to decide how someone else views a symbolic event.
But lets be honest here, you don't really give a sh!t. I know I don't. I'm not watching pro football because I care about the political bent of the players. I'm not seeking moral or philosophical guidance. I watch because I enjoy the game.

It must be a real crisis for people who have a certain religious devotion to their pro sports team of choice as well as their national symbols and rituals. They want to support that team, but suddenly members of the team are offending their state religion.

 

Me too. I'll admit I was outraged at first, but I really don't care anymore. They can protest all they want. I'm watching every game possible because football is just awesome.

 

I'm glad they were stupid enough to start this anti-American bullshit during the preseason. Looks like I'll be getting more done on Sundays during NFL season again. I can't wait to watch the numbers tank again as liberal supported actions show their unpopularity once again.

Not me. I love the game and will watch it no matter the protests. It outraged me at first, but then I Remembered something like 87% of football players end up bankrupt, and then I thought "well whatever. Let them have their fun now".

You act like the dispatch they were responding to was a 12 year old child with a bb gun. It wasn't. If you had a call about a man in a park with a gun aimed at people, you'd show up with a gun in your hand ready to shoot. And don't tell me you wouldn't. If that was your type of action in a shooter situation, you'd be dead before your first day.

I don't recall white people targeting old elderly black people and black women, sneaking up from behind and punching them in the head as hard as they can. I don't recall white people resisting arrest and then crying about brutality. I don't recall white people being the majority of committed crimes and the minority of the population.

To be honest, I don't like seeing people disrespect our country and the men and women who defend it, but it's their freedom to do so. Am I looking to them for moral or philosophical guidance? No. Have I stopped watching football? No. However, the kneelers aren't above criticism.

As for whether the players should be fired or not, the league, the owners and the players are going to have to sort that out, and if they don't, they'll have to live with the criticism and boycotts.

 

I do recall that white people do more drugs than black people, but black people get arrested over drugs far more often.
I do recall when white people get sentenced, than on average under the same circumstances, black people get more time.
I do recall white people get of on probation sooner than black people.

I don't recall the GOP making much of an issue with this weird discrepancies.
I do recall they have a problem with peaceful protesting against this.

 

If they gave a damn about these needless displays of police power then they would be taking steps to control, train, discipline and arrest their own police force. But that is not what they are doing, they are trying to get us to think their lives matter regardless of their actions. That is a police state folks. The police are there for us. Black people are part of us. The police need to be put in their place or the next person they kill will be you or yours. A nation that pretends to be fair and just is anything but fair and just. If you want fairness and justice, you need to be a rich white man. As you go from that privileged position to the lowly poor black man, you pass various shades of white and wealth until you get to the bottom rung, the poor black man or woman.

 

I think that it's a fair to criticize the way the are going about their protest. But, you are completely wrong about the disrespect part. I don't think that's what they intend at all. Whatever, I think we mostly agree. I wish everyone else was as level headed.

 

So you're at an event where the racist Star Spangled Banner is being sung and you see some people who are just sitting and chatting. What will you do?

If white people do more drugs but get arrested at a lower number, obviously they're smarter about their drug abuse. But I don't buy that made up stat.

If you recall harsher sentences for the same crime, you aren't recalling one person is a multiple offender while the other isn't. A fact that's not beneficial to use for the race dividers.

I've never heard the probation stat, did you get that one from NAACP.com/factchecker, too?

There's no issue to make, the discrepancy is your lack of facts and over emotional beliefs to benefit your anger at the white race.

Protesting these things makes as much sense as the NFL dummies, news anchors, and DNC leaders holding their hands in the air and saying "hands up, don't shoot."
