And just in case, it was not blatantly obvious why DeSantis' comment is offensive, Andrew Gillum is black.

Anyone aware of DeSantis will not be surprised by his use of this racist dog whistle. After all, he attended a conference alongside the alt-right's favorite racist, misogynistic speakers and these comments come the same week that DeSantis said "Yes" to lynching and refused to denounce the act of it at a campaign event. Hell, that's not even a dog whistle so much as yelling at your dog.

Here's to hoping that Florida learned the lesson from 2016 and that DeSantis gets his ass kicked in the General Election.

Screaming "racist" won't help him with his legal issues and the fact that he broke the law. Gillum is a disaster for Florida and will get destroyed.

His office told the newspaper Gillum paid cash for the trip, which included a $1,400-a-night resort. During the trip, Gillum received a calendar invite from Adam Corey, a lobbyist with close ties to Gillum, to meet up at Tallahassee’s Edison Restaurant with an undercover FBI agent, according to the paper. That restaurant, in which Corey is an investor, received $2.1 million in taxpayer dollars under circumstances being looked at by federal investigators.

McInnes and The Proud Boys have disavowed the alt-right, and I doubt any of the guest at the mentioned event identify as such. Typical though. Who's surprised by claims of fake news? And of course, this guy could've had zero intention of making a racist comment, but because the mere possibility exists, they snag it up and run full speed with it.

The sad part is they really don’t need more than that thanks to the “New Americans”. Hopefully a lot of left leaning moderate whites are waking up with all this going on, though.
