The problem with the terrorist watch list is that it's an arbitrary list that doesn't require due process to be put on. It is based on the whims of government bureaucrats, not on any kind of set criteria. If somebody that works for the TSA wants to, they can put you on the TWL with no justification needed.

If somebody with dementia is that much of a danger to self, they should be involuntarily incarcerated in a hospital.

this video is why people should be legally required to DISENGAGE

unless you are on your own property, your car, you should legally required to disengage from a possible violent confrontation.

    SYG sucks

What did the big guy do before he got shot? Other than the threatening to kill 2 armed people? We didn't see what led them to shoot the guy. With the threats being hurled their way, I wouldn't have turned my back on the much larger man.

No it doesn't require due process.
“due process” is an overused and trite expression unless applied to those navigating through the judicial system. You aren’t when going through a failed background check. Not Passing a background check because a person is on a terrorism watch list is no different then temporarily denying a person the right to public conveyance on a plane or screening by agencies as many rights can temporarily denied.

Not passing a background check for any restriction can be temporarily. If successfully challenged it still requires further proof of legitimacy. All your rights are regulated, none are absolute and if you’re on the terrorism watch list, more should be required before you can board a plane or buy a gun.
That’s where due process comes in. Due process comes in your attempt at being removed from a terrorist watch list. Why aren’t you whining about restricting boarding a plane while on a terrorist watch list ? The right of travel has been long been construed as a fourth amendment right.

As soon as the left not just supports, but implements, a sex-ed requirement, with the same level of education and testing as they would place on the right to keep and bear arms, as a condition to exercise the right to an abortion, I''ll take them seriously.

Thus demonstrating a lack of knowledge regarding the concept of what due process actually means, and how the system for being placed on the terrorist watch list actually works.

We still don't know how anyone gets on or gets off of the terrorism watch list. Being on the list means you can't fly, but every other form of transportation is still open to you. Denying someone the right to buy a gun means that no matter where they are that right is denied.

If someone is on the terrorism watch list and is considered too dangerous to buy a gun, why the hell are they walking around free in this country? Why does the proposed law to prevent them from buying a gun not make it illegal for them to own a gun? Why doesn't it prevent them from buying gasoline, gunpowder or pressure cookers?

Why does ACLU oppose the law?

Because the anti-gun left only concerns itself with making it harder for the law abiding to exercise the right to keep and bear arms.

That's not photoshop, it's a photo op of the community organizer at Camp David.

When the photos of Obama's photo op with a shotgun first appeared all of the gun blogs and gun and hunting forums picked away at Obama stance which isn't an American shotgun stance but a foreigner stance and obvious no training in rifle or shotgun marksmanship training. Look at the position of Obama's left arm. :roflol:

Most former Presidents have at least had one photo op of shooting guns because America is a nation of the gun. America was founded by the gun, the gun is America's history and culture.

Mentioning Carlos Hathcock and Don Jr. in the same breath should be a crime.

Carlos Hathcock sniper rifle of choice was the Winchester Pre-64 Mod-70 chambered for the 30-06.

All Winchester Pre-64 Mod-70 rifles uses a Mauser action.

In 1964 Winchester looking at the bottom line stopped using the Mauser action in 1964.

Eventually the Marine Corps had to adopt the Remington 700 rifle chambered for the Winchester .308 as it's sniper rifle in Vietnam.

Gotta be a re-enactment. No one is going to stand that close to the muzzle of a Ma Deuce.

    Speaking of...
    Circa 2002, a buddy and I went to Ft Knox for a W2 re-enactment.
The Germans marched by, followed by a 250/1 and a Hetzer.
Soon after, US scouts in a jeep rolled up, took fire and started shooting back.
Watching this, we heard the M20 scout car roll up about 15' ft away, but didn't see it, until...
    BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM!!! BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM!!!!
The guy in the M20 opened up with the 50.
