And, you'd be wrong. I, in fact, did the edit. But why stop now, perhaps you'd like to tell us who will win the 5th at Pimlico....

Thanks in advance... And yup, I think it's time to take Flake to the woodshed. He won't be a candidate in 2020. No one on the right will give him money, and frankly, he's not so attractive anymore. Age hasn't been kind to his looks.

Wasn't it Hillary who asked why any of it mattered?

Face it. He acted like a big crybaby prep school snot who is used to always getting his own way. I ran across these types all the time growing up in the old San Fernando Valley on the baseball and football yards and in social settings, especially where alcohol was present. All mouth, but when things get tough they would always cry and blame it on the refs or umpires or run to call the police or their mommies. Kavanaugh showed his true colors on Thursday which were varying shades of streaky YELLOW....

I want you to imagine your response to Dr. Ford if she had bounced between acting hysterically, combative, and accusatory while interrupting questions, turned questions on senators, and dismissing other questions outright.

His only possible chance of success is as a democrat candidate.

Because she didn't, even after eleven hours of bogus grandstanding by the GOP she kept her composure.

Oooohhh... all your favorites. Rich, prep school, (you forgot frat boy... how could you miss frat boy??) used to getting his own way. In what world is this you speak of? The one where dude busted his hump getting the grades, at Yale? Think that's easy?

And seriously, the valley doesn't hold a candle to the kind of privilege we're actually talking about here. And of course, you're super willing to dismiss the same commentary for ms Ford, who CLEARLY came from the same environment, Chrissy sakes, her daddy was the president of her country club.... Oh, and I'd hope that you're using a bad translation service, calling out the "football and baseball" yards... yikes... And do tell, what "social settings" are you actually familiar with? Less than Zero? All I see in your post is useless self denigration, and self pity.

True. She didn't start sobbing and sniffling and yelling at elected officials about chugging beer.

Are you suggesting that she didn't? Wasn't she bouncing between feigned confusion, directive academic smug, and outright unwillingness to answer actual questions of fact? I mean, she did, right? There's video of it. I find it amusing that you've so completely forgotten the actual facts, you know, where Grassley was nothing but nice, and republican senators never even asked a question, except to thank her for her showing up and all. Do you recall what the democrats did? Never actually questioned her, did they? Lots of grandstanding though. Lots. So, honestly, she wasn't in any way exposed to the kind of spurious, vicious attacks that democrats leveled at Kavanugh. Nice try though....

Anyone who played baseball has referred to the old ball yard champ. I went to San Fernando High in the tough part of town. But we played several rich prep schools in preseason and legion ball. And yes, we sometimes socialized, mainly with the girls from the rich side of town and we ran across several of these Kavanaugh type guys. Typical crybaby snot nosed gutless pricks. He was the poster boy for them on Thursday.

As a fan of rules maybe you should stop derailing conversations with long boring expositions about proper thread creation.
You are not a mod and if you have a problem with someone's thread the proper procedure is to report it and not compound any problems with your rambling unnecessary drivel that kills conversation.

Save your ridiculous diatribes for any inner monologues you might have.

I think two women followed Flake into an elevator and threatened to accuse him of sexual assault, with witnesses, there and then. Now Flake is Me Too's bitch...

Wow! Cheaper whining here about your personal animosities than going to a shrink, I guess. He has the votes to be confirmed so
get used to your petty complaints.

I don't really care if he is confirmed or not. He will fit right in with most of those guys. I was just commenting on what a sissy he is and that his testimony before the Senate was a display of weakness and bad temperament. He isn't my kind of guy at all, but I can say the same thing about 85% of those in congress, definitely our president, and lifetime appointed judges from both of these disgusting parties. Anytime one of them is exposed and humiliated is a good day for me.

I have already posted somewhere in the 1001 Kavanaugh/Fox posts how I thought that Judge K should have conducted himself.

Let me dispose of the Flake factor first. Flake obviously voted for Kavanaugh to move him up out of committee so not are why there is any implied animus toward Flake.

The only way we would know for sure if the method was effective is when we see the results.

Judge K in my opinion overdid, overplayed, overstated, over exaggerated everything in his defense of himself.

    Let me quote Shakespear -
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks", meaning that the Player Queen's protestations of love and fidelity are too excessive to be believed. The quotation comes from the Second Quarto edition of the play."
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_lady_doth_protest_too_much,_methinks

He should have acknowledged the opportunity to present his case. i do not recall him doing that. He put on a show with exaggerated body language projecting childish attititude like that of a toddler who flunked out of potty training graduate school. when he sat down in front of the committee.

His attack on the Clintons was not only stupid but totally uncalled for. The only relationship between Judge K and Monika's Boyfriend is that that they were both accused of sexual improprieties albeit Bill actually got caught with his pants down so to speak. Why bring up the revenge accusation against the Clintons as a motivation when the Clintons are not in the Senate and not running for office at this time. Oh I know Judge K figured he would slam the Democratic Senators accusing them of an evil motivations. That does not in any way shield him from the accusation even if it was true.

The use of the Trump BS that some people are still mad about Hillary not winning is way overdone and needless.

Then take chapter out of Trump's recent multitude of rallies and try to paint those who are asking for just one accuser 's voice to be heard as some vast left wing conspiracy with millions and millions of dollars pouring in to defeat him. Yet ignoring the fact that there are millions of dollars spent defending him. Is that the vast RW Citizens United conspiracy?

There was no rational reason to contort his face, cry, wave some silly 36 year old calendar around call out the Senators who are in the other party clown actors and con artists.

There was no reason to try and claim or imply that he did not ever drink to the point that he could not remember something. You he knew exactly how he wanted to answer that question because he knew that if admitted even to he possibility that may have drank to point that he did not remember something the committee may take it as he could have not remembered doing what Ford accused him of. He was "too clever" by a mile. Just because he may have drank that much does not mean that he did. Still no proof of his guilt. By being too clever by a mile just makes him suspect.

The BS with the calendar was too cute, too clever by a mile also. He also overdid that deal. He emphasized that he went to church, did weight listing exercises with Timmy Jimmy and worked his butt off. He emphasized the importance of church but there was no reference to church on his calendar? Why ? Who knows? He referenced everything else but not church. hm hmh

The FFFFF was explained just recently by a women of his generation who said it meant Find em, Finger em, F----them, Forget them. K claimed way to unbelievably that it was one of the guys who said the f word that way. Why would that be something profound to share in a year book!! The Boof stuff again that woman and the urban dictionary says it is back door sex sex not farting. Why would high school guys still be talking about farting when farting talk went out by fourth grade.

The Devils Triangle being a drinking game again was shot down by someone from his age group. Being a threesome with triangle, three angles. three sides, three points has to be a sex game not a drinking game.

That cute name of a club named after that girl Renate as being a matter of honor was too BS to believe. It meant Too late, no date, need a date call Renate. What an honor she was being given in the year book and she never knew she was so honored until now.

His overly defensive ways of denying the true nature of the FFFFF< Devils Triangle

Judge K overdid the the denials, the obscuring, the BS too much to be believed.

Then I was a virgin until I was in my twenties was unnecessary.
No need to defend yourself for drinking beer.

A man who was innocent would not attack The entire other side of Congress. He would not need to. A man who was innocent would not have blame this investigation on Hillary not winning. A man who is innocent would have his own "defense" not those of the guy who nominated him. Innocent people do not need to borrow defenses from their bosses.

He did not need to drag his 10 year old daughter into this fight either. Judge K claims that his daughter said "let's pray for 'the woman' " Who the hell teaches there young children to refer to adult females as "the woman"? When my daughter was that age or even older an adult female whose name she did not know was referred to as "the Lady" , or "a lady" or "ladies " if plural. Did Judge K and his wife talk that way about other people? Are other people "those people" "those women" "those guys". "those Democrats"?

Why produce phony tears? That did not gain him anything from hose not already on his side.

He needed to very firmly state his case, state that he is not the type of person who would have done such aa thing that he is being accused of. He needed to say that he did not, does not, and never seal live his life the way he is being portrayed. He needed to say that there is no evidence unless it was concocted that he conducted himself that way. He needed to take the high road, the judicial road, the honest road, the road that a true man takes.

He need not have tried to accuse the perceived enemies of the man who nominated him. He need not have taken on the flag of Trump nor the tactics of Trump. He need not have tried to match accusation against accusation.

An innocent man need not have to accuse others innocent man of doing things that he cannot groove that they did. An innocent man needs to stand tall and not swim the alleged cesspool that he claims his accusers live it.

So if not for Jeff Flake fronting for Murkowski and Collins, you mean?

If the FBI can find absolutely no basis on which to corroborate the rape allegations (quite a safe bet) then what?
You have a few more days to spend in your fool's paradise. Soak it up.

    Diane Feinstein?
Put anyone in a little box in front of the nation and assassinate their character ...we'll see how many people react with good cheer as their entire live's work goes up in a cloud of poisoned partisanship.

You never know....This Ramirez business at Yale could be the straw that breaks the preppie's back. He did seem to be the perfect guy, but his Irishness and love of booze as a youngster might keep him off the court....I've seen guys like him go off the rails after swilling down too many...Even done it a few times myself...Jekyl and Hyde, you bet!
