    @drluggit

In order to this thread to be in COMPLIANCE with Rule 11:

The Thread Title MUST be changed to:

Jeff Flake 'We Can't Have That on the Court'

Until then, "drluggit"(he/she/them) is still in violation of Rule 11.

Why can the RW follow rules?

Are they just mimicking their Orange BUFFOON Leader?

    Oh well.

Not a single rape allegation has been made against Kavanaugh..... but it helps your perpetually dismal message to keep making false statements without being called on them...

    Who's the fool here?

Kavanaugh will probably be voted in and a bunch of Trumpublicans are going to be voted out...

Unless the FBI finds some really bad dirt kavanaugh is going to be confirmed. Any Republican that doesnt vote for him (and a few dems) will lose their jobs for sure if they dont.

That's a pretty reasonable prediction. I don't think that it will hurt Collins or Murkowsky at all if they vote no on Kavanaugh. Especially if he is replaced by an even more conservative woman Judge. Kavanaugh will either be confirmed, or he will be forever relegated to the sidelines like Bork. If he is confirmed under a cloud of suspicion he will be an Albatross around the necks of Republicans for decades.

    True.

That said, if Collins votes Yes I don't see her surviving past 2020.

Flake has no chance in either party

But he can be a thorn in trumps side for a few months at least

If you lose Collins and Murkowsky or Flake (who is not running again) you are done.

Very true, unless one of the Democrats crosses over because they feel that they will lose the reelection bid in November. Several fit the bill (States: WV and ND) If Brett goes down, I suspect the next candidate will be even more Conservative and will get confirmed.

I am done? What do you mean? I don't really think it matters if Kavanaugh gets confirmed or not. If he doesn't, he will be replaced by a similar or worse corporate lackey within the next six months anyway. However, if Kavanaugh does get confirmed under this cloud of suspicion, he will be a lightning rod for Democrats to get more women's votes for decades. McConnell's insistence on getting Kavanaugh no matter what could end up backfiring on him.

The pseudo left center that voted with Trump 88% of the time?

North Dakota has been a lost cause for awhile, her Kavanaugh vote will have no bearing at this point!

But can the democrats delay things until after the election? Would they try to get a recess appointment?

It's possible. If several Republicans keep siding with Democrats and keep delaying, it could go past the elections. I doubt it, though. I think one of 2 things will actually happen:

    1) They vote and Flake and Murkowski vote and Kavanaugh loses his confirmation. This sparks a huge angry red wave and another candidate is selected and confirmed.
    2) They vote and Kavanaugh gets confirmed sparking a possible blue wave.

Either way, the elections will be close but this whole fiasco could be decisive.

I also think the FBI comes back with nothing, exonerating Judge Kavanaugh.

Who is my team? If Dr. Ford was your mother, aunt, sister, cousin, etc. your tune would be totally different. Are you afraid of what may be found out about Boozin Brett.

You are if you think tales of house parties where drunken frat boys were lined up for their turn at gang rape of drugged out girls was not aimed specifically at Kavanaugh. What planet have you just come down from?

I suspect you are only fifty percent correct.

Kavanaugh has passed FBI muster at least a half dozen times already just in order to be where he is now.

Flake is lame duck because AZ is sick of him and he had no shot at reelection. He hates Trump a FB wants to give him a FU on the way out. He also knows there are a lot of liberal companies out there and they hire liberal heroes!

If Flake wants to get back at Trump, he needs to run 3rd Party and siphon off enough votes to ensure that Trump loses.

    Sounds like a plan.:salute:

I guess in those other background checks, some of his outrageous drinking escapades were not turned up. They mainly look at arrest records and talk to school officials and neighbors. Now, in the limelight, some former acquaintances have brought up some nasty behavior. That and the fact that he acted like a snotty little prick and was evasive and disrespectful in his hearing raises questions about his suitability to sit on the Supreme Court. His performance on Thursday was a disgusting display of weakness of character and disrespect for the office he seeks. I vote a big thumbs down on this little puke.

Not resentment at all champ. I had no respect for these little crybaby brats back then, and I always laughed at them as me and my buddies took their Muffys and Heathers down to County Line beach to initiate them into womanhood.... It is just nice to see a little prick like this get his comeuppance. I love it!
