Still a false equivalence in my book.

It depends on what social class you belong to and skills you have or possess.

I can imagine if you're a banker, lawyer, doctor, engineer, government employee, architect, and so on of the professional or well to do social classes life has never been better.

This why the country is currently so polarized, you have half the population that are enjoying economic prosperity where life has never been better and the other half living in economic squalor who are existentially miserable. These sort of scenarios never end very good especially when you have social economic polarity like this.

Now you'll probably retort that the other population chose to live like this with the typical neo conservative rhetoric [yada-yada-yada] but that is a gross over simplification of things and merely a defensive gesture of ignoring the general plight of others.

Being poor isn't that bad? True story, I was homeless off and on for eight whole years living on minimal subsistence. That was almost an entire decade of my life wasted and gone that I'll never get back again. I wouldn't necessarily call that period of my life enjoyable either.

Hope that you and Francis have a fun time being socialists.

Let us know how it goes once you two get all comfy on the ol' commune.

Fascist national socialist and autocrat isn't exactly the same thing as being a commie but I digress.

I wouldn't suspect you would :) But without that BIG OL capitalistic TITTY to feed off Singapore and many other countries like them simply would not survive. It's a nice place to be, no real military, but enjoy the might of a large capitalist country! It's nice to be a midget among giants that bestow gratuities and focused worth in way of servitude to the Capitalist master :)

Without Capitalism Singapore would quickly turn in to Venezuela in a blink of an eye! Five Million, LMAO! We have absorbed 6X that in illegal south American and still manage to make their country "Singapore" successful :) How about we ship ten million asylum seekers to Singapore and see how their ideology holds up, oh wait, they have population control! They like being one of the midget countries!

So as you claim to be "A Shut in" then how can you justify those three SSS and not doing your part to provide for the whole body?

No, the comparison holds true even when you go to quality of life metrics.

Then perhaps you should examine the 2nd link I already provided, which discusses that very issue.

So, yes, the US has a higher poverty rate than many other countries, but the standard of living available to a person at poverty levels in the US is higher than it is to a person at poverty levels in places like the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Japan, New Zealand, and others. Here are all countries at the 60% of the national median:

Nobody starving in Cuba these days. Russia is a criminal dictatorship. China is totalitarian as is NK. Venezuela is just a total mess.
But none of those relate to my point.

So, you're an anti innovation and wealth creation guy? That's not very smart

Sure, that's called culture and leadership, but that's not dictating.

No, I believe in innovation and a more equal opportunity based capitalism that is more fair for all.

Sounds like you learned nothing. I wish you zero luck with your attempt at totalitarianism.

If you understood human nature as I do you would understand why I believe in dictation.

Fair is all parties involved in a transaction having freedom. Equality of outcome reduces overall productivity.

I don't share your enthusiasm for radical individualism as a way of governing society as I am a collectivist politically. You view freedom as maximizing the powers, independence, or privilege of the individual, I view maximizing freedom, happiness, stability, and prosperity for a majority of people collectively.

To conclude, our views are simply incompatible.

It will have great failure also in the near future that I can assure you, of course I know you'll disagree with this comment but that is fine.
