I would disagree that God removes memory. I would suggest that the blessings of heaven far out weigh any sadness we have experienced. Just like now... I am so much anticipating eternal life with Jesus and my loved ones, hell is far from my mind. (Except when mockers bring it up all the time.)

Thanks for the Biblical summary. It is pretty accurate. The OT is full of man's attempt to be justified under the law without God. It repeats itself over and over. However, there were a few along the way that were "justified by faith". Human Nature does not change. We always have choice and God gives it to us. Love would not be love if it could not be rejected. Jesus came, made the ultimate sacrifice and promised if we believed in that provision, we would not perish but have everlasting life. We can live under the dispensation of "Grace". Jesus also promised that His Spirit would dwell within us allowing us to accomplish so much in obedience to the law. We still fail because we are flesh, bu we have the opportunity to make the world so much better.....in that, I believe we have. As a Christian, I believe my entire life is an education. I win more than I lose, but I still lose. From those losses, I learn. The big differences are, guilt no longer shames me into despair. I have an advocate in Jesus. He delights in my lessons learned and encourages me on like a good Father does. I've decided to follow Jesus and there is no turning back.

no, I imply that may Christian throughout history used convert to kill to increase the number of Christians in the world

but why would your God deny people that chance at living a life if it's such a blessing?

and if all babies that die and get a free pass into heaven, then is not abortion a free pass to heaven? why would a Christian be against that?

Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabacthani. The difference is down to different languages. Psalm 22 is in Hebrew
ב אֵלִי אֵלִי, לָמָה עֲזַבְתָּנִי; . 2 My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me, Reading the Hebrew from right to left.

    Matthew and Mark

In Jesus day the Hebrew spoken language was only used in liturgical circles. Mark used a language called thaumaturgical in his way of writing - relating to magicians, magic and miracles. That's why he records so many miracles. In use at the time were the Aramaic and Greek languages.
Matthew uses a Hebraic style of writing.
In use at the time were the Aramaic and Greek languages
There's more . Study it for yourself.
Many Hebrew's escaped the Assyrian and Babylonian invasion by fleeing to Greece, Egypt and as far as North Africa. The Greek language had been around centuries before Alexander the Great. It was widely used when Alexander took over and the fleeing Jews had adopted it, and used it in their everyday life. Hebrew became as I said previously. The Septuagint translated the Hebrew to Greek for these people.and eventually all the Jews.

oh, so Saul was like a OJ ... got it

todays Christians on the right have no forgiveness, they do not even want ex-felons to be able to vote or be able to protect their homes and families with a gun

So, basically a failed experiment for most people for most of human history?

I know that your faith is a comfort for you and I would not wish to deprive you of that.... even if I could

Unfortunately most of those stories were history before the Hebrews ever came into existence. They are simply Hebrew adaptations of older stories. All recorded on extant ancient 'documents,' stele, palace and temple walls all for the public to see.l

I am not claiming to be a God and not saying I am so jealous I go by the actual name "jealous" like God does in the bible

I am a human and have flaws like Jealousy.. but would a prefect God have such flaws too?

Jealousy just doesn't seem to be a God like emotion, what it seems is the writers of the bible wanted to use fear to get people to believe in their new religion, and tell people God is jealous and will punish your children to the 3rd or 4th generation if you make him Jealous

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+34:14&version=NIV

"for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."

I live close to a school for children with extreme learning difficulties. I suggest you tell that to them and to those who have to look after them.

Phooey. In your lifetime you will never learn the Bible half as well as I do.

Horseshít, buddy. It is right wingers with their anger, prejudices, warmongering, and injustices to the poor that persecute Christians and distort the Bible's true meaning.

If God gave man the precious gift of life, why does he take it away with the world he created. Earthquakes, Tsunamis, floods, famines, diseases. I guess our friend lives in a comfortable part of the world - comfortable compared with poor countries in Africa, Asia etc. Why is God so cruel as to allow these natural disasters? The world was evolving long before man came into being so the old 'due to man's sins' won't wash.

Quote Was Saul convicted? You don't know what you are talking about.

Paul was certainly guilty of murder. He convicts himself. At Stephen's stoning 'I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him" (Acts xxii. 20). You can't be much clearer than that

Yes and I attend a church where we have a group of down syndrome afflicted children and adults that we teach, Their outlook on life is far better than yours and they do show a large degree of gratefulness which I find lacking in you.

For someone who cannot embrace the 1st Chapter of the Gospel of John, your definition of "Christian" is a failure. You may know the words of the Bible but your heart is far from it.

You are imagining things as I did not even attempt to define Christians on this thread.

    FAIL
