over the last 10 midterms with a repub prez, the average loss of house seats is 22, so in that narrow regard it was an 'underperformance' for them... but in terms of the the dems gain, they also underperformed. what is significant is the gain of senate seats, a rarity which has only occurred 5 times in the last 22 midterms... overall a win for the repubs... as for the dems 'going after criminals', are they going to investigate themselves also, or just biased against repubs?

Trump lied about his wealth, he actually used tax fraud to inherit hundreds of millions from daddy, and used the mob in order to secure cheap commodities for his buildings. His administration is under investigation for colluding with Russia during the election, Manafort and Cohen are working with Mueller and Stone is likely to be indicted next. Everyone around Trump has consistently been corrupt just as he is corrupt and fake, and now enriching himself off the presidency left and right, while trying to obstruct the last attack on our elections by Russia as they threaten NATO and the US with nuclear war if we get involved in the Baltic.

The same economic trends were already in place under Obama, literally no change in the trajectory under Trump. Go look at the data. But he will have made the next recession way worse by blowing up the deficit by slashing government revenue. They tried to engineer their healthcare plan into the tax cuts, but failed to make the spending cuts thanks to the patriotic efforts of John McCain. All that is gained in this short period will be vastly overshadowed by the upcoming calamity.
