National universal comprehensive background checks might be a start. Banning AR style weapons and of course limiting clip size. Yes I anticipate the standard moronic arguement that these won't stop all killings.

And I also think all guns should be registered. There should be massive fines gor failure to register or report transfers or when guns are stolen.

And yes I own guns and even have my own range and am a liberal and am not a gun grabber.

Few if any responsible democrats have called for a ban on all guns and you know that is true. Just a typical attempt at avoiding intelligent discussion. Next you probably go to equating any gun laws with gun grabbing.

 

The shooter was a regular there so was he one of the "conservatives" who usually hang out there. Perhaps he got confused about the border (line) and the constant brainwashing about the caravan which has suddenly vanished - Unstable people are not logical

 

How about compulsory psychological assessment first?And must be done every year in order to renew a licence.Furthermore,the law enforcement must be finally allowed to send nutters to an institution until they are sane enough to be released into society.Those measures would be much more effective.

The people saw an tyrannical government coming to push around a citizen. It was met with protesters who didn't cause any violence, but showed they weren't going to take it lying down. Doesn't matter what it was over, the government was being oppressive and the protesters put the 2nd A to use without a shot fired, just as the founders intended the 2A to be used.

No, but their chants have been calling for dead officers, and several sympathizers have followed up on exactly those chants.

No one died from the bundy ranch protests. Not a single chant was started by the Bundy's for dead cops. "take over" is your spin when it was just a protest, just as the left has done countless times with BLM and ANTIFA.

And how much does the NRA donate to political candidates? And you need to actually read the CDC data since the instances of protection are self referential while the crime data is actual.

 

There is nothing to discuss with you then.Every single shooter was mentally disturbed and yet you find it absurd trying to prevent them from killing innocent people before it's too late.You need to understand once and for all,no one will ever disarm Ameticans unless they want to start another civil war.Shootings happen every now and then,killings in liberal Chiicago are daily occurence.

No, they just conflate "AR" with "assault rifle". They lead their base into thinking 9 million people a day are killed by guns. They push the idea that the AR-15 is a weapon of war when its never been used in a war. The make people thing "semi-auto" is a machine gun. Yeah, and there are a ton more of the self defense actions that never get reported because the potential victim was armed. To think a criminal is going to risk dying when there is a softer target down the way would be quite the performance in mental gymnastics.

For most Americans, the (questionable) constitutional right to a gun is more important than meaningful measures to contain such things and other massacres (they can never be prevented, but the likelihood can be drastically reduced).

Hence ... my fellow American Pro Gunners, live on with your sacred right to a gun, but do not expect pity for cases like now, as long as American stupidity, which is the cause of the whole, is stronger than reason!

 

The increase is only happening is one demographic, and I admit that its whites. Overall, violent crime is down in America, white mass shooters get the media attention because the media wont report on the daily mass shootings in black neighborhoods.
