    Yesterday morning was interesting...

    I was to make a last minute delivery to a Target store.

    What they have us do is take a loaded trailer to the store, drop it in the lot, pull the empty trailer out of the dock, drop it in the lot, put the loaded trailer in the dock, then take the empty trailer away.

    This time the trailer at the store was supposed to be loaded with stuff to be returned to the warehouse.

    There was no one at the store, do I did all the switching, even though their trailer had a lock on it. They put a lock on the "kingpin" to keep people from stealing the trailer. I used a strap to hold the trailer on the tractor, and waited for someone to come and remove the lock so I could take the trailer away.

    I was pretty proud of myself.

    So then, someone finally shows up and tells me that I was at the wrong store.

    Depending on your definition of 'dressed up'.....

    I didn't wear work boots with paint stained jeans, or a sweatshirt with gravy stains.

    When going to T-dinner in a place that has cow fields on one side and an illegal moonshine still on the other, one doesn't worry much about fancy. Ease of running or camouflage would be the dress of the day......

    Just found a pile of scrap wood. I am in the process of bringing it home and cleaning it up. It is a difficult task but I think it is worth the effort. It is a pile of old pallets and crates. I am thinking about making some patio furniture out of some of it. I have already built a workbench out of some old scrap lumber I had on hand. It is something to do.

    My neighbor re-built his staircase with wood from salvaged pallets. It's beautiful. It's, by far, the best part of the re-modeling that he did.

    Another friend built workbenches from reclaimed bowling lanes. Those things are solid!
