It was hilarious when Trump called the "Invaders" a bunch of disease riddled terrorists. I guess he already forgot the storm he created with the previous characterization of the people at the wall. Why not get it over and just call them Spi*s with a few choice N words thrown in for grins. Our leader.

Rational argument? Trump made a fool of himself. He has already had his "rational argument" fact checked and we know that much of what he said was false or made up (which is normal for Trump).

"I am proud to shut down the government for border security", is a piece of video that will play every day for the remainder of this Congressional term, much to the chagrin of Congressional Republcians.

Trump's wall is now officially dead.

Now that Trump has taken personal responsibility for any impending shutdown over his wall. Democrats have every incentive to up the ante in discussions regarding the remaining budget bills. He separated himself from his own party's leadership without apparently understanding that that was what he was doing.

Both sides know that there is little real support for this embarrassing and un American notion. Polls indicate that half of the country is opposed, and half of the rest see it as a low priority. Indeed, the "build the wall" contingent largely exists only at Trump rallies.

Nancy Pelosi was successfully counting votes in the House when Donald Trump was unsuccessfully counting too little money in Atlantic City.

He got schooled and totally punked yesterday. At his insistence, his self humiliation was public, and went on against the repeated advice of his interlocutors, who repeatedly suggested to him that they take this discussion private.

NO competent elected official EVER allows themselves to get into public debate like. NEVER, never, never.

Trump, at bottom, has the same world view as much of his base appears to.

He thinks he's putting on a show. And his yardstick is Twitter feedback, the fawning adoration of right wing media and the cheers of the flat earth types who go to his rallies. That's it.

He really doesn't care about the Presidency or the nation, and he makes that clear over and over again.

He does Archie Bunker schtick on television and gets his feedback from Shawn Hannity. He lives in a very dangerous and unrealistic bubble.

He also does not seem to understand that the political calculus has changed completely after the GOP defeat in the mid term elections.

He does not understand that his behavior with regard to the Russians, the Russia probe and his constant and serial lying have all taken their toll on his credibility and his authority.

The GOP leadership has never trusted him. The last election destroyed his Teflon façade. And now, the GOP is afraid that the entire party will be dragged down by Trump's chaotic mismanagement and incompetence. Not to mention his dealing with the Russians, which have been going on for over a decade, and because of which, he is clearly compromised (something he signals constantly with his behavior).

The meeting with Pelosi and Schumer should have been a brief largely ceremonial pool spray followed by a serious closed door discussion. This is what people who know what they are doing conduct themselves.

But not Trump. He decided he needed to put on a show.

I have said from the outset that Donald Trump is not qualified by virtue of character, integrity, professionalism or experience to hold any office of public trust.

Yesterday, he proved that in spectacular fashion.

And, in so doing, he gave them an opening to drive a deep wedge between Trump and the GOP leadership.

And Trump took the bait in the most spectacular and public way.

Really? I guess as long as the liberal spin is on high, Pelosi's comment could be viewed that way.

Again, if the President is lying and making a fool of himself, why would Pelosi be so desperate to stop the public debate?

Oh that's right, she's got other more 'portant things to do than to feed her parties hatred of the President.

Geeze, what a stream of liberal fantasy. Do you think you could have made it any longer?

Trump owned Nancy and Chuck. They were bleeding out, knew it, and Pelosi was desperate to get out from in front of the cameras.

The video of them proving they don't care about National Security will certainly play out the rest of Nan's term, and Chuckly's as well.

Can you explain why they would want to end the conversation, if Trump was being owned as you suggest?

Dang, the spin meisters on out in force and on high this morning, after the carnage their leaders suffered from yesterday.

OMG. I have never seen anyone misread a situation this badly. It's not even about politics. It's about the ability to observe what's going on and reaching a logical conclusion. It's about knowing the game.

I was once forced to take a dim bulb salesman with me to a customer donny brook where I was handed my asz to me over horrendous product failures in their plant. I listened. I took notes. I presented an action plan. We scheduled a progress meeting. Mr. Dim bulb decided he just had to leave a catalog for our failed products. The customer looked at me with sympathy as I stared at sales genius with daggers.

People that think Trump won this one are like my dim bulb salesman. They have a one track mind that refuses to switch to a clear
track. By god they're headed over a cliff and nothing will stop them.

OMG, I've never seen anyone try to spin the embarrassments known as Nancy and Chuck so vigorously.

It's like the guy selling tickets to a toll bridge that just collapsed, and trying to convince the next people in line there is nothing to worry about.

Oh BS! Trump only wants transparency for others...

BTW, why does Trump need funding for his wall?

Why didn't Nancy and Chuck ask him the obvious question?

Trump said the Mexico would pay for the wall...…..so why is he attempting to hold Americans hostage until we pay for it?

Why is he threatening what an entire nation needs to fuel his wet dream?

    That is so Anti-American

SS checks are not affected by a "government shutdown".

She wasn't desperate at all. I have no idea where you get that silly notion.

She was being the professional and suggesting (repeatedly, as did Schumer) that Trump end the circus before it went off the rails.

You can watch the video and see that at some point both Schumer and Pelosi came to the understanding that Trump wasn't going to stop the circus (partly to his insistence on always having the last word, which is one of this significant weaknesses).

Once that point was passed, it was more sort of "OK, you asked for it".

Because it is in our best interests. We already have enough homegrown uneducated, unskilled, illiterate members of our own society, we don't need to import more, and even ours tend to have the ability to speak our language.

Why does something need funding if Mexico is going to pay for it?

I know that, as I said in my post. If they were, though, a large number of Trump fans would all of a sudden lose their desire to "shut er down".

Trump said the Mexico would pay for the wall...…..

EXPLAIN then why he wants us to pay for it....

BTW, he said we HAVE excellent border security...why does he need billions of dollars for more? (Has he got HIS contractors lined up ? :)

Do you REALLY see these immigrants as affecting your life?

You have NO other concerns about what is happening in this country?

You WANT the government shut down over Trump's wet dream?

You actually believe that if we have no immigrants all our problems will disappear !!!!!!!!!???? WHAT!!!!

    Professional?

She was peeing her panties! Have you read the full transcript? Probably only saw the video your favorite biased outlet fed you.

Nan and Chuck were bleeding out in front of the cameras. Pelosi was struggling to stammer out something about legislative process, and kept begging to end the public discussion.

Not good to prove to the public you don't care about their safety.

I love how Progressives are claiming a win, but can't answer the question about why Nan and Chuck would want to end a public discussion, if they were making the President look foolish. Wouldn't they want to continue it for all the publicity it would bring.

Your posts dictate your box. You have literally dozens and dozens of posts defending Hildog.

    Just one example:

In their complete and total disdain for anything Clinton they were so busy voting against Hillary they forgot to look at who they were voting for !!!

Oh yes that totally sounds like someone who didn't vote for Hildog :roflol:

The boxes exist I don't have to do anything with them. :)

EDIT: And I found one better:

And yes, if my choice is Donald Trump or Hillary, YES, I think Hillary is the better choice.

But you didn't vote for her right? :roflol:

For "the rich"? Last I checked, the tax cuts were for everybody. And they need to do more, as we're still paying too much.

Lol, you mean Pelosi's obvious attempt to delay a decision of what to do after the wall as an immigration measure has been approved? Lol, you guys would get eaten alive in a meeting with people that are actually smart. I shut this type of obstructionist **** down weekly. She wants analysis paralysis for ineffective results because she prefers the status quo.

Some of these Central American immigrants not only don't speak English, they don't even speak Spanish.

In areas where we have an enhanced wall like San Diego, illegal crossings have been reduced 90%. Why do Democrats fear that?

More obstructionism and sedition is not good for America.

But MS-13 can't wait for January, their girl Nancy will be in Congress defending and protecting them.
