Also nobody is saying they don't want border security just that a wall is mostly symbolic and there's much more effective ways of funding that.

I think that Trump knows all about the cost. It is not something that you look at as you go along. There is too much taxpayer money

Neither are worried because Trump makes things up as he talks. I think that Pelosi has a handle on it and she is no fool. She works well

He's had the House, the Senate and the exec since he was elected. You can't blame democrats if he doesn't have the votes within his own party.

I'm sure he'd have those votes if his great negotiating skills had won him a fat check FROM MEXICO to pay for it which was the promise he made while running for office. Once the republicans realized that wasn't the case, even they didn't want to be involved in the numbers required to actually get it passed.

He wanted $25 billion and now he is just asking for $5 billion. It's not really all that much. Especially when you consider it needs to be done and it's not just for a wall, but for border security. Democrats are just obstructing it because Trump ran on it in his campaign.
