McConnell wont bring it to a vote because it will make him look foolish that he cant control his own caucus. Nothing more, nothing less

 

Nor can the Dems. No wall was kinda the point of the Midterm for them. Trump isn't going to win this, either Romney deposes McConnell and forces a vote to reopen the government or the shutdown goes on so long the US collapses and Trump goes down in history as the idiot who ran the US into the ground.
