    This is a true scandal. Nancy Pelosi has appointed Ilhan Omar to the House Foreign Relations Committee. Omar is viciously anti-Israel and clearly an anti-Semite.

    She claims that Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.

    Omar also has come out in favor of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement, a movement that is diametrically opposed to bipartisan U.S. foreign policy.

    Republicans were quick to denounce the appointment. Chuck Schumer should have criticized it, too. He has denounced BDS as “anti-Semitism.” He is right about that. Pelosi, too, has said “Congress ‘must’ oppose BDS.”

    Democrat leaders just promoted a pro-BDS Democrat to a key committee that deals with the State of Israel. There is a dark wind blowing through the Democrat Party, and Ilhan Omar typifies it. The Democrat Party is increasingly anti-Israel and infected with anti-Semitism. Today we see the latest evidence of the character of what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez calls the “New party” filled with an ancient hate.

    It was Pelosi's way of telling Israel the whole country and all the Jews could die and she wouldn't care. It's how many Democrats feel/think.

    I respect her right to hate Israel if she lives in somolia where she belongs

    But her views make me question why she is in America to begin with

    She represnts everything that is wrong with US immigration policy

    What does that have to do with what she said as a member of the Congress and now on the House Foreign Relations committee? Do you support her being there?

    Not just her, once she got here, she married her brother in a criminal conspiracy to evade immigration law and the Open Borders Democrats imported an entire electorate to seat her in Congress.

    And Open Borders Democrats are so committed to this strategy, that they will close the Federal Government, lay off 800,000 Democrat workers in order to keep the borders unsecured.

    She's not a good choice, but not for the reasons given by religious bigots on this thread.

    Her unfounded claims about Lindsey Graham and her characterization of Israel as 'evil' demonstrate a lack of thoughtfulness on issues. As a member of a legislative body she should not be making unsubstantiated claims against Lindsey and her comments about Israel are unfortunate. We didn't like it when Bush characterized other countries as evil, it's not fitting for a Democrat to do it either.

    Btw CNN took her to task on some of her comments.

    I could be wrong but I think Pelosi just did Israel a huge favor by appointing Ilhan Omar to the House Foreign Relations Committee; that is why Schumer keeps mum. Evidently, Pelosi is getting soft.
