No American bank wants to lend money to Donald Trump anymore.

His many bankruptcies are one of the reasons for this.

Canada has the highest credit rating of any country in the world.

So we can say that Canada is the best managed country, and therefore has the most efficient economy.

    Nope.
Practically no one is pushing or even asking for gov't control to the means of production.

But if you have a serious person doing so, do point them out.
And also, maybe you can point to a country that is successful actually doing so.
None of the stronger economic countries of the world are even hinting a gov't as the means of control of production.
You are either very misinformed for believe that, or just peddling fear mongering. But for what reason would you peddle that?

Dreaming your special own definitions doesn't matter to anyone but you.
You are correct on production. Incorrect on healthcare. And gov't has no interest in the production of healthcare. They will not own the clinics, doctors, hospitals, nurses, etc.

National Socialism allows for private ownership of the factories but government control of the profits

    And redistribution of the wealth

Exactly what socialist democrats running for presifent are proposing

So, practically no one is asking for that and no social democracy in the world that is strong economically is suggesting that or does that.
You're just making stuff up, per usual.

No one claimed to be any of this, this was a label put on them by people like you to justify YOUR position. Just because YOU label something, doesn't mean it is what you labeled it.

You know that we have medicare now right ? Do you even know what the true "medicare for all" proposal is ? From your post here, you do not.

Wait, so now the left is "self enriching", "power grabbing"? Did the left vote for the tax breaks that every reputable study now proves enriched the top 1% ? Who got rich on that one again ?

Thanks for admitting that for you, its an "US" to "YOU". Now maybe you can define who is the "US", and who is the "YOU" ?

It's not socialism. It is called a Social Democracy.

And its not a trend but a fact. All the EU countries are social-democracies. With free or nearly-free Healthcare and Post-secondary Education.

Which also means, since the population of the EU is far greater than that of the US, there are more Social Democrats in the world than Replicants ...

    Just WOW.

so much crap here to unpack.

What "freedoms and liberties" do you give up under a social democracy. Be specific !

NOBODY is talking about taking over the means of production. NOBODY but the fear mongers on the right

I have a very simple yes - no question: Has the United States EVER been a socialist country ?

And Replicants have their cake with all the jewels and golden candles.

The European Union has open borders and just like the US anybody can go anywhere and find a job. And nobody is "stealing money" - another idiotic notion regarding a Social Democracy. Taxes are however higher - to pay for the social-services for which everybody is very keen to have.

The European Union residents have a life-span four years longer than the US*. Because a National Healthcare System helps people live their lives well ...

*Which is why about 700K Yanks also live in the European Union at present!

I already replied to this in post 118

What you are describing is the fascist economic model as practiced by hitler in nazi germany

And before you go berserk I am only equating their ideas on the economy

Not the other aspects on National Socialism relating to german world conquest or genicide against the Jews

What the left wants is a society completely controlled by government where every action is either manditory or against the law

    They aren't.

It's the people at the bottom doing most of the work who don't get the stock-options and other perks.

You don't see this ugly dichotomy? What planet do you live on ... ?

    Pathetic BS.

All that Hitler did was to stop making the WW1 repayments to France and England.

This freed the government to start spending on the economy, and because Germany is Germany, it boosted its recovery. Yes, it had a mixed economy.

Unfortunately, the Germans believed the BullShat about the Natural Superiority of their people and country. And they followed him hook-line-and-sinker into WW2.

But that factoid has nothing to do with the superiority of a Social Democracy over that of one run by a Market-economy.

You are mixing up comparatives that are not comparable ...

THEY DO NOT have open borders for citizenship. And the longer lifespan is NOT just due to healthcare system. Its mostly due to eating habits, physical activity and the extreme diversity of our culture compared to homogeneous tiny nations. Not so simple. Next you'll try to claim their infant mortality is "better" without realizing that what they call a "live birth" varies drastically from ours. its all not very cut and dry.

When someone doesn't contribute to the system, the money taken from me to give to them, is not fair. Its not "stealing" of course. It was a figure of speech. But its transferring money from me to others, that I NEVER see, since I've never received govt assistance. I'm a more valuable citizen, because I give but don't take. And if EU had to actually pay equally for their own defense, they wouldn't have Social Democracies, because they wouldn't be able to afford them=)

And with this pithy commentary I suppose you think that a free-market economy is superb.

Well, it aint. The Income Disparity in the US is awful. Which mean too few people are getting far too much of the total-work-ethic.

We have in the US around 40 million men, women and children who live below the Poverty Threshold (of $24K annual income for a family of four). And simpletons like you think that is "just fine" because the really-rich are raking in all the megabucks.

What planet do you live on ... ?

    Garbage!

What you really know about the EU would fit a thimble. I guess you could find it on a map.

What you don't know is that it is a FUNCTIONAL Social Democracy with a Healthcare System that Americans can only dream of, and free post-secondary schooling that is first-class.

It has a better Income Disparity level because taxation is higher and thus diminishes the flux of money that goes to billionaires. The money is spend rightly on social-services of the broader community, as it should be because they are the ones who generate it ...

Social spending is the cause of all the annual deficit and the total debt? Perhaps you can actually demonstrate that in some fashion that approaches reality?

I totally agree that reducing complex concepts to single labels creates the need to re define the language and create new words to replace them, entirely due to bastardization brought about by bumpersticker politics.

As a matter of irrefutable historical fact and not opinion, for at least 100 years now, leftist-Democrat collectivists have self-identified as communists, Marxists, socialists, social democrats, democratic socialists, labor, radicals, progressives, crit theory, deconstructionists, etc., for as long as those self-identified labels are fashionable. Then, once this or that atrocity outs, and they ALWAYS do, or the next world scale dumbassery like Venezuela outs, and it ALWAYS does, or their crackpot, resentment-based academia is exposed for the hoax it is, and it ALWAYS is, they play this childish lily pad game, identical to what we see in the OP of this thread, "But, but I'm not an "X," I am an "X.0004"! See the difference? If you were truly educated, you would know the difference. Please don't call us "X" any more." "That's not -real- socialism, socialism hasn't been tried." "But that's old wave Marxism, I'm a new and improved lawnchair mushroom post Marxist!"

ALL played out. ALL the same thing regardless of what self-identification is used -this- year. All anti-American, freedom-sucking, evil collectivism and new, giant, unguarded pools of graft money that the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex can exploit towards its own growth and enrichment. That can create another thousand or so $100 million dollar Clintons, Pelosis and Feinsteins at the top and tens of thousands of other Complex graft millionaires all the way down the rotten toxic Complex food chain.

...and you don't know what will be in a 2,000 page bill with 100,000+ pages of rulemaking either. Tell us another one. Tell us the story of the "Affordable" Care Act. Laff Riot. Maybe the public is gullible enough to buy the collectivist horseshit again, maybe not. IMO the voters are wising up at light speed and won't buy into this Complex Sopranos scheme as easily as they did last time.

Another irrefutable legal and economic fact and not opinion is that the Trump Tax Reform has been of broad benefit to ALL levels of taxpayers. And as far as "reputable studies" go, the "reputable studies" from the exact same people who benefit from higher taxes, higher redistribution, more corrupt govcontracts, more corrupt govgrants? Those people? I think I read a "reputable study" by the New Car Dealers Association once claiming that used cars older than ten years should be banned because they are involved in a greater percentage of accidents. That kind of "reputable study?" Or maybe the one from the Corn Growers of America claiming that butter was very very bad for you, and everyone should eat margarine instead?

On the off chance that you aren't obtusely trolling so common among the left on this forum, and haven't read any of my maybe 2000 or so posts on the US and YOU, the political divide in the U.S. is the non government-dependent private sector taxpayer US versus the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex and all its permanent dependency Plantation YOU. Clear now?

Social spending is the majority of government spending. Look it up.
