Here's my prediction: Even if someone is arrested and indicted for the assault against Smollett, a lot of right wingers on this forum are still going to claim it was a hoax.

 

The ones that were saying from the start that if this started throw the book at them? That seems reasonable..

The ones talking about how evil whites are and "Nazis" no so reasonable but hey im not a Progressive so logic crosses my mind.

 

What are you going to do, if this turns out to be a hoax, which it most likely is?

 

Here's my hope. If it can be proven that Smollett faked this, he should be charged with a felony. I don't believe hate crimes should be a separate crimes but if they are on the book and this attack was faked, it is clearly and unambiguously a hate crime. It was a hoax meant to foster hatred against white conservatives. It is a crime that should involve several years in prison.

I might be wrong... seems Smollet claims the guys from the surveillance video are the attackers... but now looks like the police have identified them... if so the narrative doesn't make a lot of sense.

 

You can't arrest imaginary people.

If this was staged I hope people go to jail and Smollett is forever rejected by the entertainment audience and entertainment producers as a fraud. If the phone records Smollett has refuse to turn over show they were in communication before the alledged attack........................

 

I'm waiting............let's hear what the police say, but it sure looks bad based on the story and his refusing to cooperate over the phone records.

I hope he is crying when the judge tells him one year in jail for filing a false police report and the show and network drop him like a rock.

This man is a bold face racist and should be called for his racism just as Susan Smith was.

 

He should have watched more A-Team.
