You mean the crisis Obama declared in 2012 and 14? Funny how the dems have done a 180 on border security.

    They will do it anyway

When repubs held the senate before obama they never used the nuclear option because some people were afraid that dems would follow their example

So we got to pound sand

But when harry reid took over he immediately did what repubs were afraid to do

    Its not a vanity wall

But libs will sure puff yourselves up with pride if trump can be stopped from building it

The dems want zero border security because they want to flood America with foreigners

It will take about 6 months to make it to the SCOTUS.

So hard work is not a needed skill anymore? The Mexicans who made 80 grand working for me last year would probably disagree.

I think some DACA’s will be allowed to stay if they have sqeeky clean criminal records and a steady job

But the adults who brought them here must be deported

and no pathway to citizenship for the kids - ever

Plus there must be no more DACAs in the future and that means tight border security

We tried our best to deport them when they were still children and libs delayed and delayed

Nowhere in my post did I mention Obama. You should have picked up on that detail

I know what we're talking about and that should have been clear to you that I do. Did I lose you after the first two sentences in my post??

Does it now. Evidently, I did lose you after the first two sentences in my post.

FYI, I made my reservations about such a declaration explicitly clear after those two sentences, and I concluded with a statement voicing my objection to how this could further open the Pandora's Box of expanding arbitrary government power and how that occurs. That's not "I know you are but what am I?".

Read my post again and stop fixating on the first two sentences. I think and you'll find that we're pretty much in agreement here.

We have able bodied Americans on welfare who need to do some hard work

Besides its only been a few months since liberals were freaked over the idea that robots were going to take all the jobs

But they got quiet when we started linking that to immigration

Have you taken a millisecond to learn the requirements and process involved in declaring a National Emergency?

    Might be helpful.

Of Course but 5.7 billion is only 0.129545455% of the $4,400,000,000,000 2019 proposed budget. It a very thin argument for democrats who love to spend that the wall is too expensive. If it was anyone but Trump the wall would have been approved in full.

We will do unto your party as you have done unto us, the deplorables. :bonk:

Methinks you're putting to much faith in our courts, my friend.

We've seen the exercise and expansion of arbitrary government power and its facilitation by the courts before, so don't be surprised if it happens again. If an exaction that is defined by the legislature as a penalty can be arbitrarily and unconstitutionally transformed into a tax by the judiciary anything goes, anything can happen.

Now that think of it, there should be a Vegas line on how the courts will rule. Perhaps, we should start a pool here - Gentleman's Bets, of course.

For the record I wasn't cool with this crap under Obama and I'm not cool with it now and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the courts let us down again.

Bush and Obama used emergency declarations to reprogram appropriations 18 times between 2001 and 2013, yet the republic survived.

LOL - As I recall 538 predicted that the Great Pumpkin's pandering to his lickspittles would result in his defeat in 2016.

Looks like the lickspittles who opposed him were wrong.

Remind me not to ask for your predictions in the next Powerball drawing...

First and third sentences aren't true. I don't know about the second one as I'm not a lib.

When Pelosi presents that argument of a reciprocal tit for tat... O my, have we forgotten about the extents that Obama went to, Dingy Harry etc. in the last decade. Repubs get outplayed in every exchange; despite the knowledge that there is nothing sacred, nothing beyond the pale that the Dems will pull. I knew that we would rue the day that we had control in the first 100 days of Trump's presidency & RINO Ryan did 'nuthin' to mitigate the hundreds of billions of future costs that have & will be incurred - with the crime, drugs, entitlements, healthcare that these 'illegal leeches' upon society will end up costing U & I... disgusting! Build the damn wall already - in full swing well prior to 2020.

    It's nobody's decision. And it's a fact.
