The Gulf of Campeche was the only place he fished. Campeche trips usually lasted about 60 days at sea. They would have replacement provisions delivered by trawlers who came there to begin their trips. Trawlers finishing their trips and returning to their home ports would also take shrimp caught by other trawlers back with them to unload at the fish houses. The owners had not heard from Captain Kaiser for over two months. He had not sent any catch back to them. Finally, after over two months, Captain Kaiser came steaming into the owner's docks. I was standing at the docks and caught Captain Kaiser's docking lines and hooked them to the dock pilings. I noticed that the trawler was stripped bare. There was no fishing gear in sight. The nets, doors, cables, were gone. It looked like a ghost ship. On the side of the on-deck white water tank big bold black letters were scrawler upon it, I WOULDN"T HAVE NOTHING I COULDN'T FEEL SOMETIME! Epilogue: Kaiser had gone on a big drunk and was anchored in the harbor with Mexican prostitutes aboard. He didn't get fired, though. The owner made him work the money he owed
