You libs... all the same. Very animated when you get put on the spot. So, Daniel, what part(s) did I get wrong, if any? What'sa matter... don't/didn't you like John F. Kennedy? He's the ONLY throughly decent, upstanding, honorable, America-loving Democrat that I can remember in my entire long lifetime (and, obviously, I'm an old guy).... Too bad if you're too young to remember this remarkable man.

Oh, I've mentioned it a few times already, but, for what it's worth, the only thing I listen to on radio is classical music. We've got one fairly good station here in Colorado where I live, but mostly I listen to (and recommend) WETA, streamed on the internet. WETA is a treasure, located in Washington D. C. Give them a try instead of listening to anybody's "talk show" crap: https://weta.org/fm

Would prefer Rand Paul or someone else with extensive private sector experience, but Pence would do. Anything but a Democrat.

No. Kennedy was an above average President. I was objecting to your pathetic, bombastic bullcrap about all Democrats wanting to DESTROY America. Millions of Democrats have served in the Armed forces, are police and fireman, save lives every day hospitals and clinics, pay taxes and play baseball. They may have a bit different set of solutions for problems, but they don't want to destroy America. It's like having a kid that messes up - you want him to do better, but you don't love him any less.

And there is no guarantee that EITHER the Democrats or Republicans have solutions that will work in the long - or that BOTH won't work in the long run. One technological advancement could change the world faster than any political ideology. But this constant, "me good, you bad," chest beating is just too pathetic to listen to. And yes, I am old enough to remember the day Kennedy was shot and Carter was a better man - though not a better President.

The only thing I can say about Pence is I like him because he will send the left into convulsions. Otherwise he’s like a glass of warm milk.

I can respect your point of view. Indeed, I can remember when I, myself, was a Democrat (a LONG time ago); moreover, my family, and everyone I knew growing up in the 1960's was also Democrat. In Central Texas, it's who we WERE, Daniel, and we really couldn't even imagine being "Republicans".

But this thing that the Democrat Party has mutated into during the past thirty years especially is bewildering to me, and it definitely seems to be totally against all the values, loyalties, and precepts that we old-time Democrats believed in. I can only say that if I could have back the Democrat Party I grew up with -- minus the racism (which pervaded all of American society back then), I'd be a Democrat once again!

Today's Democrat Party shows me people like Ocaso-Cortez, Kamalah Harris, "Dizzy Lizzy" Warren, Cory Booker, et al. No doubt in my mind that John F. Kennedy himself would be appalled! And so I find myself voting for Donald Trump (although I'd prefer Rick Perry)... if only because I can't stand the idea of any of today's Democrats running this country even further into 'the ditch' than it already is!

And Kennedy and Eisenhower would be APPALLED at the way Trump and his FanBoys are representing the country as well. It's not just Democrats that are screwed up. That's why I don't belong to either party. Neither represent my standards and I'm not going vote for someone who sleaze, but just different sleaze from the other guy ... I didn't vote for Hillary for the same reason.

We not have identical political viewpoints, but it seems that we share a mutual frustration, Daniel. I quit the Republican Party in July 2016 after being a member of it for decades, mostly because I was sick at the way RINO's had largely ruined the party.

Now, I see America sliding down a winding "1984-esque" hell hole, much as described by George Orwell in his all-too-familiar masterpiece.... Have a happy weekend anyway.

Same, I was pulling hard for Rand last election. It was strange watching him being bypassed when he seemed to be the most capable and intelligent.

Did you see the parade of halfwits that he had as competition? Your post isn’t exactly high praise.

The democrat leaders are afraid that impeachment will backfire on them like it did with Gingrich. I doubt he will be. If he was, well, the liberals here in Indiana would fall over dead. LOL

There is no more, or less, possibility of President Trump being impeached than any other president. That written, I like Pence.

Military service does not automatically make someone love their country. Far from it in fact. Look at terrorist Timothy McVeigh.

I know a lot of guys who enlisted for benefits and opportunity, not because of patriotic sentiments. That's fine, but yes, it highlights that military service doesn't necessarily equate patriotism or 'above and beyond' moral character.

Has been from the start and he is now - every time he defends and supports trump.

He is no better than trump. He just has a different con.

Trump IS NOT getting the support he deserves

As the duly elected president he should be allowed to fullfill his agenda

My dad (avatar pictured) served well in the military. Two years including 11 months of combat duty in Korea. But he joined because he was drafted and forced to. He enjoyed almost all aspects of military service a great deal. But he still says he wouldn't of gone if he had not been forced to.

No. He has to convince his agenda is worthy.
We have checks and balances for a reason.

To me "checks and balances" are to prevent abuses of power.

Not exercises of power legitimately earned through an election.

You do understand that courts and the legislative branch of government are among those "checks and balances", don't you?

If a president wins an election, he doesn't have carte blanche to whatever the hell he wants, right?

Yep. He earned nothing being elected except thr right to sign bills.
And push to get some ideologies passed if convincing enough. Its not a blanket right to do as he pleases .

My god, if all these pardons had come true, by this time Trump would have issued a few hundred of them. We hear about this a lot on the left wing media.
