    OK , EXPLAIN how it affected the court's ruling....did they say she was raped so let's make abortion legal?

    All I'm saying is an 11 year old would have to be pretty morbidly obese for them not to be able to see the pregnancy at that point.
    We're talking rolls of fat in all directions!
    At the very least her guardians should have said "Lucía, we're concerned that you've been gaining so much weight, let's talk about putting you on a diet", if that was indeed the case.

    children often have protruding abdomens. Plus the first pregnancy often lies posteriorly so again not as evident and then there is lack of nutrition. Children of that age are usually growth spurting so the foetus and the mother are competing for nutrients leading to a small by dates baby

    Of course I'm not trying to blame her (well, maybe just a little bit). Her legal guardians are the ones who have the blame, and wouldn't they be the ones responsible for choosing for her to have an abortion anyway? I put the blame on them.

    Tell you what, why don't you volunteer to have a bowling ball shoved up your ass for 9 months so you can prove there are no debilitating side-effects to pregnancy or being raped?

    Nothing was made to go through her vagina. They took the baby out through c-section, remember? And prematurely at that.
    I don't think the fetus at that age would have been too big, although she did have a small body.

    Kind of amusing here reading pro-choicers arguing how big a fetus is at 23 weeks.
    That's a switch up from the usual.

    So her choice not to be pregnant was forcible taken from her by the rapist - and YOU want to take her choice away from her a second time by FORCING her to carry to term. That is no less a rape of her dignity than what was done to her by the rapist. Shame on you.

    Or we could have taken the choice away from the 19-week-old fetus.

    She doesn't deserve to be pregnant but that fetus doesn't deserve to die.

    I've read of some cases in Latin America where the young girl didn't know any better and the girl just ended up raising the baby as a younger sister.

    If we think optimistically, maybe they don't fully realize what's happening.
