If one business loves it customers and tries to please them and another business hates them and tries to displease them
which one survives under Republican capitalism? A simple lesson that a child can understand, but one that is over a liberals head.

fundamentally opposite, Actually, Jesus created the individual and Marx created the collective which is why Marx hated Jesus.

yes we take Christianity very seriously since it is the source of our morality. And we take school shooters seriously because they have no Christian morality. Do you understand. Sorry to rock your world.

Which company would survive, one that crushed its worker's spirits or one that didn't? Can you see great new iphones being invented by workers with crushed spirits?

Most innovation comes from OUTSIDE corporate America. Innovation is a big buzzword in corporate circles these days, but the reality is that corporations are fundamentally resistant to new ideas simply by virtue of their size and dead weight. It only takes one naysayer to scuttle a new idea, and naysayers are all too common in the corporation. I already mentioned Apple as one example that doesn't. But try naming a non-technology company that innovates.

obviously the ones most resistant are the ones that die first. 10,000 go bankrupt each month. Do you understand? Its in the papers every day. Look at the race to invent the self driving car or electric car. Look at IBM? only the most innovative survive. You totally misunderstood your experience. Sorry to rock your world. Interesting how prejudice takes over our minds and totally prevents us from thinking isn't it?

Simple fact. The only class that has actually benefitted from our Capitalist System over the last forty years are the rich. It is a fact thst more and more of the wealth has gone to the top while the rest have at best stayed in pkace.

So to put it simply anyone who thinks that Capitalism as practiced in the US is great has to be either a fool, or clueless or rich.

Or maybe deluded enough to think that somehow they will miraculously become one of the rich.

interesting that liberal programs to help became massive during the same period. It isn't capitalism that that did the damage but liberal interference with it: unions taxes regulations deficits, the war on love, family, religion schools, and oh yes lets remember the wall is an immorality and invite in another 30 million illegals to take our jobs!

See why we must conclude that liberalism is based in pure ignorance?

Only if you are dumb enough to forget how many Republicans held office and their tax policies designed to help only the rich. But you are correct about one thing. If it wasn't for Democrat efforts to aid the poor and middle class the wealth inequality woud have becone even worse.

And do try to remember that Republicans have never done anything to stop illegal immigration and that Trump has repeatedly used illegals to run his golf courses and to build his casinos and used foreigners to staff Mar A Lago because he was unwilling to pay enough to hire Americans.

You must run with a pretty useless crowd of whiners... jeez.

I grew up in a dysfunctional family. Father was an alcoholic, became a professional leech off of the system. He was a complete piece of S#!%... by the time I was a teenager, I was on my own.

Nobody helped me - least of all the government; what's more, I didn't ask for help. I pulled myself up from nothing to graduating college and owning my own business.

That doesn't happen - can't happen - in socialistic countries. There simply is no capital available to the average working man to begin the climb up.

By your reckoning I'm a "rich so-and-so"... I've got news for ya bud - hard work, ambition, good choices, and opportunity are what improved my life.

You best wake up and smell what you shovlin.

Most of those bankruptcies were small companies that were undercapitalized. Fortune 500 companies rarely go bankrupt, and the ones that do often survive the experience, often as smaller versions or as a subsidiary of some other company. Here's a list of 29 companies that fell off the Fortune 500 list in one year... number of bankruptcies: 1.

    http://fortune.com/2016/06/06/fortune-500-companies-departing/

Those above the 250 mark were either bought out or merged, they didn't go out of business. While I agree that companies that fail to innovate are going to die sooner, their deaths take decades. Look at Sears. It had been dying for 30 years before declaring bankruptcy in December. Sears in the 90s and early 2000s still employed 300,000 people. None of those 300,000 people were being encouraged to innovate, to think for themselves, to come up with something new.

You are incorrect. Republican tax policies help everyone, rich and poor alike, but they help one class in particular above all others: those who want to get rich. Democratic policies keep everyone down, but the one class they hurt more than any other is the class of people who are ambitious, who want to improve their condition in life rather than stay poor or middle class. Republican tax policies help them get where they want to go because they don't have to fork over their earnings to the vast, pointless, wasteful bureaucracy of government.

Democrats and Republicans held office but policy was decidedly Democratic with crippling welfare entitlements programs growing all the time and the top 1% paying 20% of all taxes in 1980 and 42% in 2018. Sorry to rock your world

they don't help the rich since the rich pay all the taxes. top1% pay 44% of money collected and they don't help the poor since the more on the dole the more crippled they become

You're missing the point, most of them, in fact. The point here is that corporate America sucks. Tolstoy explained why in War and Peace. One of his characters (Bolkonski, maybe?) notes the fundamental conflict between employer and employee as this: the employer wants to get as much labor as possible for as little money as possible; the employee wants to get as much money as possible for as little labor as possible. I would extend this to the seller and buyer as well. The company wants to get as much money for as little product as possible. The public wants to get as much product for as little money as possible. Now as I noted, I am a capitalist and I believe a free market is the best possible system ever devised, it allows the price of everything to be determined by the free choices of consumers and producers. But we have and need a system of punishment in place to deter those who would cheat, gouge, steal, overwork, underpay, and otherwise game the system, because that's most people.

Here's a website dedicated to the proposition: http://corporatelifesucks.org/

But under capitalism you have to provide the best jobs possible just to survive. That's the beauty of Republican capitalism. Do you understand?
