No it wouldn't be. Millions of tourists come here that don't speak English. Why make it hard for them?

You read a 50 page report? And with your claim, I supposed to believe you?

If you read the report, you would know the majority of overstays return to the country of origin within 12 months.

How could you possibly miss that?

So what? You aren't really going to try and make the "if we can't stop all illegal immigration we shouldn't try at all" argument are you. How about while we add to our border protection we also invest resources into deporting those who overstay their visa, then we can also bring that number down. Or perhaps you would rather use the money we would spend on the wall to just go after visa overstays? Certainly you agree with one or the other since you brought it up.

So let's invest some more resources to deport them too................agreed?

Once it's built, they'll be paying dearly for it for years to come; and we'll be benefiting from it for years to come.

No, I just use common sense; something you are obviously unfamiliar with.

You have a Constitutional Right to understand your rights, etc, if that means translations in Spanish, Constitutionally we must provide that.

Why do hate the Constitution? Get out of my Country if you do!

What phone service is there to tell non English speakers their rights?

If there is one, I can guarantee you it can be funded cheaper in the private sector.

Where does the Constitution say it must be printed in several languages so foreigners can read it?

If someone intends to reside within the united states, or any other nation for that matter, there is no legitimate excuse for not becoming fluent in the native language of that nation.

That with the Constitution is also not correct ... the right point is: official language!

Unfortunately, many Americans think that the only official language in the US and its 50 states and it's 5 outside areas is English ... THIS IS WRONG!

Only 25 states have English only as official language! The other 25 states and these 5 outside areas like Puerto Rico etc. have non or they have aside English another second one. In addition to English is here or is always another language accepted on an equal footing and that is mostly Spanish or an indigenous language (for example, in Alaska). Also in Louisiana, for example, French is equally valid alongside English, and in Pennsylvania, German is equally valid.

So it's not about Foreigners here, but about US citizens and the most widely spoken language after English in the US is Spanish!

Diverse "Natives" ... many Spanish-speaking people in the areas that once belonged to Mexico? Diverse groups in the swamps of Louisiana, whose language is French?

Sure ... they may speak English, at least most of them ... too, but if it's not a duty to speak English in the state, why should they have to?

I lived in French Louisiana for 8 years, children are taught English in schools. Billboards, TV, newspapers and even government business are all in English. Schools on the borders with Mexico teach English.

Sure, I do not deny ... but so what? Does Louisiana have an official language? No! The authorities of the State of Louisiana accept French and English equally.

So tell me, why someone in Louisiana, who speaks French, must necessarily speak English or necessarily only in English by authorities, etc. must be informed and not also in French ... in legal terms?

You realize nothing you've said here makes you any less wrong, right? The data is perfectly clear. The majority of illegals who are here, overstayed their visas, not crossed the border illegally.

I didn't give you a biased NPR report. I gave you a directly link to the DHS chart, showing you most illegals are overstayed visas.

    So what? lol.

A wall, while being completely useless in stopping illegal crossings, doesn't address the actual majority of illegal immigration.

Sure. First we need to mandate on a federal level, mandatory E verify for every single business in this country. Next, we need to implement mandatory prison terms for business owners who hire illegals.

Once we do that, we can focus on deporting those who remain.
