I value the traditional American values for immigrants. Those where the newcomers are expected to adapt to their new home. I disagree with the philosophy that demands that the country change to suit them.

There is no coherent set of "American values." My family has a long history of distrust and Yanks and their values. There is a significant portion of the American population who see the close mixing of genders as a recipe for immorality. Christian colleges, for example, have strict rules regarding gender and dormitories.

We segregate all the time, and in many ways. See the example of Christian college dormitories.
