FINALLY! The right strategy to END this growing problem with illegals and swarms of "migrants" rushing the Southern Border of the United States: SHUT THE BORDER WITH MEXICO! https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-...exico-doesnt-stop-illegal-entries-11553874917 https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tr...legal-immigrants-from-trying-to-cross-into-us https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/mar/29/donald-trump-threatens-close-mexico-border FINALLY it appears that President Trump is going to employ the only truly WINNING strategy in this horrific mess of illegal invaders, fraudulent "asylum-seekers" with 'borrowed' or kidnapped children in tow, and other criminals and crap of all varieties. This is the ONLY way that we can put a stop to this wretched situation, once and for all! Why? Because Mexico needs free, easy, transport and trade into and with the United States a hell of a lot more than we need it with them! Their economy would immediately begin to crash and burn if we SEAL THE BORDER SHUT! Every Mexican businessperson would immediately scream bloody murder to their corrupt, rotten government in Mexico City and demand that the Mexican paramilitary police (called colloquially, the "Policia Azul") be brought into swiftly into action! Good for you, President Trump! I've never been a big fan of "the Wall", but NOW you've hit on the one strategy that will work if any can: If the Mexicans don't police this festering menace that originates and spawns on THEIR side of the border, then SHUT AND SEAL THE DAMNED BORDER UNTIL THEY DO! Also -- side benefit? Forcing the Mexicans to clean up this miserable mess on THEIR side of the border shouldn't cost the TAXPAYERS of the United States one penny!
Of course most illegals are overstaying Indians and Eastern Europeans. And all the produce and oil that Mexico sends us doesn't mean anything... Right? Trump would be impeached BY HIS OWN PARTY for ****ing up their cheap labor sources. And with net migration being INTO Mexico, this wouldn't move the numbers at all once and for all disproving the BS he's seeing so I don't imagine his handlers will allow him to do this either.
Well, boo-hoo, I guess we might pay more for avocados and asparagas for a month or so, but you can bet this is one hell of a wake-up call to that miserably corrupt, negligent government in Mexico City. Like I said, Kode, Mexico's businesspeople need us a hell of a lot more than we need them: https://qz.com/1536884/mexicos-record-trade-surplus-is-thanks-to-growing-exports-to-us/ If you think the French mobs storming the Bastille in 1789 was dramatic, just wait until Mexican businesspeople start raising holy hell with their government to get his f*cking "migrant" mess under control so that they can resume normal business with the United States!
Don't fret too much. Your food stamp "EBT card" will work on domestically-produced avocados and asparagus, too. Besides, once the Mexican business community goes into full-scale revolt and rebellion against the corrupt, miserable government bureaucrats in Mexico City, the Mexican paramilitary police forces will be set loose and this whole damned 'migrant' problem will be OVER in a matter of a few weeks!
OR Mexico goes to war with the US with a massive 5th column in the US and international support. History shows war rather than capitulation is the typical response to border conflicts. And regardless of the outcome in Mexico, my point still stands. The US economy will crash, capitalists will get angry and illegal immigration will still go unchecked because Mexico was never the problem.
This is like that time Trump mused about taking guns without due process. Remember that? Right. Nobody believes anything Trump says. The border's not going to be closed. Trump might close one tiny stretch and declare "victory", but it will be business as usual for the other 95%.
Yes. Mexico a country owned by drug lords, isn’t the problem. A country with diseases we’ve long eradicated. A country with huge swathes that resemble the 3rd world. Yes. They’re not the problem. If Mexico fracking killed and imprisoned the drug lords we wouldn’t have a problem. It’s that simple. But they’re corrupt as ****.
Maybe we should stop sending them so much drug money. We're kind of enabling those drug lords, don't you think?
Yeah Right! BRING THAT NUMBER UP A FEW MORE PERCENT AND DEMOCRATS WILL BUILD THE WALL THEMSELVES: Poll: 50% of Hispanic voters approve of Trump, GOP regains ballot lead. “As President Trump doubles down on his pledge to build a southern border wall, Hispanics are showing broad support for him, according to a new survey. Some 50 percent of Hispanics approve of the president’s job, according to the latest McLaughlin & Associates poll of likely general election voters. What’s more, the Republican Party has regained its edge over Democrats in the generic congressional ballot.” Trump loves the Hispanics!
"Close the border"? Yeah, right. The statement is just more Ludicrous Trump BS that nobody takes seriously. Everybody knows the threat to "close the border" is BS and won't happen.
And we should keep it shut until Mexico submits their plan for a border wall, and begins construction.
Something needs to be done because the amount of illegals crossing our borders literally amounts to an invasion. Not too long ago democrats such as both Clintons, Fienstien, Reid, Obama and many others openly stated illegal immigration is a serious problem, what happened? The best solution is a wall which prevents hordes from invading. If they dig a tunnel or try to go over it, then that will not only take time to accomplish and limit the number of people who could physically do it, it will also slow them down to crossing just one at a time rather than hundreds walking across all at once. With a wall in place it would take a lot less border patrol agents to monitor the border's remote areas and they can be placed at ports of entry and provide additional security. There's an estimated 22 million illegals in this country - that means 1 out of every 15 people you meet is an illegal alien. If that doesn't bother you then I simply just don't know what to say.
What happened is that Trump started pushing a non-solution that only served to gin up his base. Proper, effective measures are needed and those who are on the "front lines" know best what those solutions are. But criminalizing people who are actually seeking asylum and separating children from parents as "punishment" and "deterrence" is not acceptable. Probably the greated crime committed on the border by Trump is the kidnapping and abduction of those kids with no records that would allow a prompt and reliable return of the children to parents, PLUS keeping them separate for more than a week or less. That has all be a crime against humanity.
The GOP went into crazy white-nationalist cult mode. Here's one of your former members: "You used to belong to a conservative party with a white-nationalist fringe," he [Max boot] wrote in the Washington Post Wednesday. "Now it’s a white-nationalist party with a conservative fringe." https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...ationalist-party-wants-democrats-to-take-over Of course, anyone who points this out is automatically a RINO and was never a "true conservative".
And you say that why? You make a lot of statements with nothing to support them and this is just another in a long list of them going back many months.
When that first semi truck full of overripe avocados starting stinking while its parked at a closed border crossing it will become clear what has happened. The Mexican businessmen won't like it one damn bit and they'll get their hired guns to go after the Mexican government and get this mess fixed.
"1. U.S.-Mexico trade surpasses $1 billion every day, with the vast majority of bilateral commerce crossing our land border. Mexico is the second largest destination of U.S. goods and services after Canada. In 2012, U.S. exports to Mexico totaled $216 billion—more than U.S. exports to Japan and China combined. [1] Mexico is the United States’ third largest trading partner. Since NAFTA was signed in 1994, bilateral trade levels have quintupled, reaching $494 billion in 2012. [2] Close to 80 percent of bilateral trade crosses the U.S.-Mexico land border every day. [3] 2. Millions of U.S. jobs depend on U.S. trade with Mexico—and on efficient cross-border commerce facilitation. Six million U.S. jobs are supported by bilateral trade with Mexico, which means that one in 24 workers depend on U.S.-Mexico trade. [4] More than 20 percent of U.S. jobs are linked to trade along the border. [5] NAFTA-related trade between the United States and Mexico has added 1.7 million U.S. jobs. [6] Trade with Mexico has created 692,000 jobs in California alone. U.S.-Mexico trade generated over 200,000 jobs in New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, and more than 100,000 jobs in 22 other states. [7] 3. Key U.S. industries vital to our national economy depend on Mexico. In 2012, the top U.S. export categories to Mexico—machinery, mineral fuel and oil, vehicles, and plastic—added $128 billion to the U.S. economy. [8] The United States and Mexico traded $70 billion in machinery, tools, and equipment in 2009, which were then used to produce other goods to be consumed locally or sold to foreign markets. [9] The production-sharing model of U.S.-Mexico trade means that cars built in North America cross U.S. borders—both with Canada and Mexico—at least eight times during production. [10] Even imports from Mexico support U.S. industries, with imported goods comprised of 40 percent U.S. content on average. [11] 4. Mexico is on the rise, with a growing middle class looking to legally cross our southern border to spend tourism dollars in the United States. Over 13 million Mexicans traveled to the United States in 2010, spending $8.7 billion—second only to Canadians. [12] Mexico may become the world’s fifth largest economy by 2050, with a higher GDP per capita than all but three European countries. [13] The border is an important gateway for welcoming Mexican tourists ready to spend their disposable income. From 2007 to 2008, Mexican tourists who entered the United States through land ports of entry spent $2.69 billion [14] in Arizona alone, creating 23,400 direct jobs and 7,000 indirect jobs for Arizonans. [15] 5. Border communities throughout the U.S. southwest depend on Mexico to keep their economies growing. In 2012, Mexico was the main export destination for three out of four border states: Arizona, California, and Texas. [16] Twenty-three states count Mexico as their number one or number two export market. In 2012, 36 states counted Mexico as a top-five market. [17] The San Diego-Tijuana border area, or the Cali Baja Bi-National Mega-Region, is a leading manufacturing and high-technology hub that spans both sides of the border, representing $202 billion in GDP in 2011 and a labor force made up of 3.1 million people." https://www.as-coa.org/articles/get-facts-five-reasons-why-us-mexico-border-critical-economy
Trump says nutty things, but doesn't actually do them. That's why no one freaked out when he told Pelosi he wanted to get the guns first and worry about due process later. Had Obama said that? Impeachment.
