Because she was a hideous hag who only got to where she was because she sleep her way there. With out bill she could have never gotten to where she made it. But in all honesty she also helped bill make it to the top by helping destroy the reputations of the women that bill sexually assaulted.
She was a bad candidate who ran a bad campaign. By all accounts, there was considerable cheating on the Democratic side and she still lost. One poll before the election found that just 11% of the American people trusted her. By comparison, 14% of the American people believe in Bigfoot. The only reason Trump didn't lose is because he was less bad than Hillary. With the negatives as high on both sides as they were, I'm surprised they got as many votes as they did.
She has this air of "I am right, I am more intelligent, I know best, I am morally superior" even when everything went to crap around her in Libya and many other countries.. blind to her own failings. Tis why I think she lost.
VERY GOOD POST!!! That's probably the best summary for Hillary's failure as a candidate I've seen anywhere. Very thoughtful & perceptive. I agree with every point you made. You're the first to poit out the incredible media coverage Trump got at the expense of Hillary. That demonstrates what I've often pointed out here on this forum, that "you get what you concentrate on." The media concentrated almost exclusively on Trump, and Trump is what we got.
the one thing that sets me off is Clinton supporters blaming the Russians for her loss when everything I mentioned above, Hillary had control over. It is my opinion, she lost the election, Trump didn't win, Hillary lost it for the reasons I provided.
I chose bad campaign. It's simple. She took voters for granted and did not campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Lesson for Democrats: go everywhere. Even small and liberal states like Vermont! Heck even make stops ruby red states like Mississippi!
In 2016, I was a Bernie supporter, but it took very little thought to see that Hillary was a far better choice for President than Trump, so I voted for her. I agree with your conclusions completely. Hillary lost the election due to the choices she made herself. Trump made horrible mistake after horrible mistake throughout that campaign--absolutely the WORST Presidential candidate in American history. Trump was completely inept throughout the campaign, yet he won the Electoral College vote for the very reasons you cite in your post. It was her choices that threw the election. The sad part of this outcome is that she saddled all of us with a raving maniac in the Oval Office for four long years.
I will always wonder why Hillary ran when after the primaries, it seemed that fire in the belly needed to win was all but extinguished. Trump did make mistake after mistake, he was constantly getting in trouble with almost everything he said. He was digging his own grave. Didn't Hillary take him seriously or did she think she had the election in the bag once Trump was nominated? I don't know, it made no sense at all to me. It all harken back for me to 1992 when I thought G.H.W. Bush ran the most inept campaign I had ever seen. With G.H.W. I had the impression he didn't care if he won or lost until around 2 weeks to go in the campaign. You don't win by not caring. You don't win lacking the fire in the belly to win either. I first became interested in politics watching the Democratic and Republican conventions on TV back in 1956. Hillary's inept campaign or lack of campaigning has to take the cake replacing G.H.W. Even McGovern and Mondale ran more energetic campaigns against huge or near impossible odds. I think we can state see why she lost, the mistakes she made, give physical reasons why she lost, but we can't ever know mentally why Hillary didn't give it a better effort or should I say even a half decent effort. She's too busy blaming it all on the Russians as is most of her supporters. The 2016 campaign is a puzzle. One in which historians will be trying to figure out far, far into the future as she should have never lost.
This isn't a thread for the mentally ill, oh wait you really believe it? Collusion truthers make 9/11 truthers look good
And is still playing media like a puppet, he knows how to yank their strings and then they dance and sing and when it's said and done they haven't told you a thing.
This isnt a thread for people who lack reading comprehension. No where in my post did I mention collusion. Just Russians. And it is without ANY doubt that Russians interfered in our election on behalf of Trump. That is beyond dispute.
Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election because the Electoral College choose Donald Trump over her. Simple as that.
Yes, I agree, and it concerns me a great deal. Just by concentrating on his stupidity, they help elect him--or reelect him. And, he knows it!
As usual, very good analysis. There were soooooo many reasons why a Democrat or Independent would not want to vote for Hillary. But ... With 20-20 hindsight, we see that the absolute difference that decided the election were the Rust Belt states that usually vote for the Democrat, but this time voted for Trump. And I believe that voters in those states made their decision based upon one issue - jobs. Which candidate was more likely to invigorate the jobs market in my area? Trump's message on trade and manufacturing resonated to them.
I went with "Clinton Scandals" but you really do have a good point about "Elitism." Your guess could be better than mine on that question.
Mostly Hillary lost because she was too physically ill to campaign like any serious presidential candidate traditionally has to campaign; which means living on the freaking damn campaign trail and delivering stump speech after stump speech and attending campaign meeting after campaign meeting and glad handing donors; and she did almost none of that in relative terms and absolutely none of that consistently. Trump simply out campaigned Hillary; and that, mind you, with the blatantly leftist allied Mainstream Media all but carrying Hillary Clinton on their shoulders.
lot's of reasons but principally, she did not look the part. Trump did. She looked short, fat and frumpy. Hard to get past national stereotypes in peoples psyches. Trump is a piece of garbage but he knows how important image is. More important than substance.
I don't like her either but she is not preachy nor condescending. Trump never did not run a business into the ground. How is that helpful?
