Come on. Like Trump was ever gonna support NJ and NYC getting fed funds to increase tunnels for people getting to Manhattan? Crack me up!

    1. That reference NOBODY gets
    2. How did she "insult" Trump? Of course he took it personally, but she simply stated the obvious regarding all of his recent actions... She didn't call him fat or a lousy dresser...
    3. Not for the actions yesterday, but yes, for failing to get behind impeachment hearings, somewhat.

Pelsoi didn't "need" to meet with Trump. She knew all along that he wasn't going to make any deal he'd live up to. He never has. LOL

She held the presser to say Trump is hiding something to blow it up before Trump could play one of his games. She did that to tell her caucus to be patient because she owns this guy in terms of publicity stunts and she isn't letting him get away with obstructing congress. Not unless the courts suddenly cave and act to give Nixon a complete second term.

I disagree... she spoke for less than 2 minutes in the AM deal, and didn't have a single prop....

Would you call what Trump did in the Rose Garden 'grandstanding'?

He doesn't rule the Senate either, but the same basic theory applies...

She needs his signature to get it passed into law. He is part of the process.

Do you think she should invest the time and energy to get a bill passed if the president won't sign it?

Trump had it all planned out. He knew the night before what he would say. Otherwise how did Fox Fake News get the story together so early? How did the pretty posters on Trump's podium get produced the day before? It was a setup. And it was more cover-up as Pelosi then said.

I disagree... she needed to go to the WH with Chuck, because the Dems have to be seen as available to meet... Whether she expected anything to come out of it is debatable, but they had to go, because if they didn't, Trump might actually have the upper hand for once.

NOW, however, they are under no further obligation to meet with Trump on this topic, since he has stated uncategorically no deal while investigations are occurring... Hell, Nancy doesn't even control most of the investigations...

Stupid or not (I go with the former), we hired Trump to do our business. He's operating on our dime, not on his own. If he isn't up to the job, he should resign.

LOL, now Nancy says the Trump family and the staff should have an "intervention" with Trump...

    That won't go uncommented on....

Trump has NEVER been "up to the job".

If Trump actually cared about the President actually being "up for the job", he would've resigned on Day One.

He would never have run for office. Sometimes you have to step aside for the good of others.

Personal example. I was a winning basketball coach who was the heir apparent coach of the senior high team when a coach I knew transferred from another school. The job was mine for the taking, but I went to him and said I was prepared to step aside if he wanted to take the team. He had won major championships and was a better, more knowledgeable coach.

Pelsoi knew the effect that her comments about "trump is covering up something" would have. What's funny about this is she owns him. With her crocodile handclap at the State of the Union and the January shut down.

Whether he intended to blow up any infrasture deal sooner than later ….. dunno. But she precipitated his snit. "I don't do coverups" LOL

Oh yes, Trump and his criminal empire that Mueller, the FBI, the DOJ, all the King's men in England, some Australians, bunch of spies, Hillary Clinton, every Democrat that draws breath, and the MSM couldn't find a crime to charge him with.

    Damn he's amazing.

    Boo hoo.

You and I are simply defining the phrase 'doing the job' differently than the RW... From their seats, walking out of a meeting with Democrats there to legislate and rail on about NO COLLUSION - NO OBSTRUCTION IS doing the job...

IMO, Pelosi and Schumer were not there to actually agree to legislation any more that was Trump there to do that.

Perhaps... but we'll never know... Shumer had a "35 page guide to infrastructure" in his hands... maybe it was just a cover around 35 empty pages..

We'll never know..... Trump blinked first (and fast)
