Getting rid of Saddam Hussein was a humanitarian mission.
The American peoplr have given the Iraquis over almost 4 billion dollars since 2001.

More than we have given to Israel.

We are the good guys no matter how much noise the bad guys make..

Stop lying. The US claimed Iraq had WMDs. It ended up the US lied to the world about that.

    ^^
At 0:36,... Powell giving his lies about the Iraqi WMD's. Total bull.

    Dude...

Well i guess America is even better than i thought...

    1. Iraq did have some wmds
    2. There is a difference between being wrong and lying.
    3. Hussein was a brutal dictator which was reason enough to do what we did.

Any defense of the Iraqi regime is absurd.

    Laughing in the Dark :)

Well that is ONE way to avoid the uncomfortable FACT
that YOU & YOUR scoflaw Nation are Smeared and Stained
............................................................. with the Blood of Innocents

Try Telling that to the people Starved, Diseased, & Bombed
Try Telling that to, (how many ?) Dead Children resulting from US VETO
Try Telling that to countries bombed back into the stone age

Easy Telling YOURSELF that YOUR intent is Humanitarian isn't it
& to blow YOUR horn and declare that YOU are the "Good Guys"
.................................................... no matter what the "Bad Guys" say.

Instead of worrying about what the "Bad Guys" say YOU should
ask YOUR miserably deluded SELF - WHAT do the FACTS say?

FACTs say, and even Raffishragabash seems to agree with me THAT
    America
bombs countries and kills people not for for HUMANITARIAN
    .............................................................reasons but for ECONOMIC reasons

Only a diseased and seriously Deluded & Perverted mind could consider
offering the reason and Justification for Murdering hundereds of thousands
................... perhaps millions of people, could in any way be HUMANITARIAN

    Another Outrageous LIE
    Here are the Offical figures

    Homeland Security Digital Library
    https://www.hsdl.org/?abstract&did=809504
    from the article
"Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. To date,
the United States has provided Israel $134.7 billion (current, or noninflation-adjusted, dollars)
in bilateral assistance and missile defense funding. Almost all U.S. bilateral aid to Israel is in the
form of military assistance, although in the past Israel also received significant economic assistance.
At a signing ceremony at the State Department on September 14, 2016, representatives of the U.S.
and Israeli governments signed a new 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on military
aid covering FY2019 to FY2028. Under the terms of the MOU, the United States pledges to provide
$38 billion in military aid ($33 billion in Foreign Military Financing grants plus $5 billion in missile
defense appropriations) to Israel. This MOU replaces a previous $30 billion 10-year agreement,
    which runs through FY2018."

You gave and are giving Israel all this, while your nations infrastucture
decays & deteriorates - and you didn't even have to Bomb Israel into
Oblivion as you felt compelled to do with Iraq

America and Israel = the good guys

Why wouldn't we help other good governments?

America gives more to help people than any other nation on the planet.

You can just say thank you and call it a day.

    Insanity.

Starving people in Iran or Venezuela or Syria is a direct result of those countries evil behavior not thr sanctions the USA puts on them.

    Re:
I'm afraid you're waaaay off on that assessment:

"The Real Cost of US Support for Israel: $3 Trillion"
    http://www.ilaam.net/Intl/RealCostOfIsrael.html

EXCERPT "While it is commonly reported that Israel officially receives some $3 billion every year in the form of economic aid from the U.S. government, this figure is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many billions of dollars more in hidden costs and economic losses lurking beneath the surface. A recently published economic analysis has concluded that U.S. support for the state of Israel has cost American taxpayers nearly $3 trillion ($3 million millions) in 2002 dollars."CONTINUED

The vast majority of loyal Americans disagree:

“81% of Americans Oppose $38 Billion Pledge to Israel”
    http://original.antiwar.com/smith-grant/2016/09/19/81-americans-oppose-38-billion-pledge-israel/

EXCERPT “A solid majority of Americans would redirect $38 billion the Obama Administration pledged to Israel toward other priorities.

An IRmep poll fielded by Google Consumer Surveys reveals 80.8 percent of the US adult Internet user population says they would redirect the proposed spending toward other priorities.
    - Caring for veterans (20.7 percent) was their top priority, followed by
    - education spending (20.1 percent) and
    - paying down the national debt (19.3 percent).
    - Rebuilding US infrastructure was favored by 14.9 percent, while
    - funding a Middle East peace plan received 5.8 percent of support.
    - Only 16.8 percent said the $38 billion of pledged foreign aid should be spent on Israel.”
    CONTINUED

Additionally, Netanyahu has made his sentiments concerning the one sided, US - Israel "alliance" perfectly clear:

Netanyahu: “Once we squeeze all we can out of the United States, it can dry up and blow away”

Nope. Iraq folded like a cheap suit. Iran will not. It has 50 million more people than Iraq, not to mention WAY WAY better weapons.

The end result is not in doubt, but the journey getting there will require a much heavier price in blood and treasure than Iraq.

And I do agree upon that victory the US would once again screw up the peace bigly.

Would it be bad if i said the Islamic republic of Iran is a cancerous tumor that should be removed and God willing it will be?

Would it be bad if i said that the Islamic republic of Iran was the cause of all the problems in the region?

That's what the Iranian leader says about Israel.

So umm yeah. If they shoot first. Bury them!

Had it not been for the Israelis saddam would have nuked Iran and we would not be having this talk.

Many Americans believe that Iran is similar to Iraq and that's a deadly mistake to make. Iran is a country of 81 million people yet they still rank 18th in the entire world for GDP. Iran is a thoroughly modern country. Every aspect of world-class technology is present in Iran. Iranians manufacture everything they need—cars, trucks, computers, farm machinery, etc. Additionally, some of the most advanced medical technology is in Iran. In particularly oncology is on a world-class scale. The Iranian infrastructure with roads, railroads and air transport is on an advanced scale. There are still villages in Iran, but these too are fully electrified with safe, potable water. Agriculture business is everywhere. Cities are clean, well-run and attractive. International-level five star hotels and restaurants are to be found in every city.

The education system in Iran is on a par with the best international education. Iranian students regularly gain admission to the finest international graduate programs, and Ph.D graduates from Iran are known for their scholarly research. Bombing a city such as Tehran for example, would be like bombing Vatican City, since Iranians endeavor to making Tehran the central hub for all of Islam. Iran is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations.

Iran has tendrils all throughout the Middle East and comparing Iran to Iraq is a fatal mistake to make. Deterring regional adversaries from threatening Iran is the primary reason Tehran has amassed the largest ballistic missile force in the Middle East.

That would likely be based on what the goals were of the war. Would it be a war intended towards "Regime Change", or one intended as a punitive expedition?

Myself, I believe that any war against Iran would be akin to the Gulf War in 1990-1991. Or the Sino-Vietnamese War in 1979.

Purely a punitive war, intended to punish the other nation, eliminate much of their military power and ability to strike, without any intent on trying to occupy them at all. And we have a long history actually of doing exactly that. From the Barbary Wars, to the Invasion of Panama and the Gulf War. Go in, kick some butt and slap around the other side a bit in the hopes they learn their lesson, then return home.

And such a war would likely be over fairly quickly. We know exactly where most of their forward positions are, and they are well within range of US forces in the Gulf. All of their Naval assets, their oil rigs, their transport hubs, their air bases and missile sites. They can easily be taken out within a few days. At that point, there is not much they could respond with.

Unless they say want to try to invade other Gulf nations via Iraq.

And this would not even be the first time we conducted such operations against Iran. From July 1987 to July 1988 we conducted Operation Earnest Will in response to the Tanker War. By early 1988 Iran had lost several of their naval ships, aircraft, oil platforms that had been used as missile sites, and even shore based installations to US retaliations for their attacking not only US ships but neutral nation shipping. In April the final blow came when as the USS Vincennes was in a running gun battle with 2 Iranian Patrol Boats, an Iran Air Airbus A300 with 290 passengers and crew flew into the active battle area. The Ticonderoga class Cruiser shot it down, and many questioned why Iran was even routing passenger aircraft over a conflict zone to begin with (almost all other commercial aircraft had been avoiding the region for over a year). By July 1988 Iran essentially sued for peace, and the Tanker War ended.

Odds are what we would see would be a repeat of 1988 or 1990-1991. Not a repeat of 2003.

I can not even begin to agree with that, and I do not know where you take your self-confidence and why.

No one doubts that Iran can not win a comprehensive war with the US alone.
Of course, this will also be bloody for the United States, because Iran is not armed muskets and swords and can fight back and bite evil. So ...

Scenario 1, the "punitive expedition" you mentioned, would be the worst solution of all, because even if you bomb so much away in Iran, as long as the mullahs are in power, nothing changes.
Moreover, Hezbollah and HAMAS will be active immediately, and the terror series of Al Qaeda or ISIS will be a kindergarten, which will come here worldwide and threaten and hit you hard.
Also, there is nothing that would prevent Russia and China from helping Iran. Especially China is the candidate, because Iran has the oil that China wants and desperately needs, and China has the modern weapons that Iran needs and wants. And it's not the question of whether China will dare or fears of military conflict with the US ... in fact, it's just a question of whether the US is prepared to prevent Chinese aid and then a war to start with China. The same is true if the US makes a trade blockade with the US Navy ... the US is ready to go to war with China, because that would happen if they try to intercept Chinese tankers!

Scenario 2 - "regime change" as you call it, means a full scale attack with full occupation of the country. That requires a bunch of Army and Marines on the ground, hard on the maximum resources of active units. It is also doubtful then whether the ridiculous remnant of ground forces in Europe, which has at least in theory NATO mission, still remains, so the US then withdraw completely from Europe. After the BS accusations by Trump before, that will lead the Europeans farther away from the US, especially as no-one Europe from NATO will support or even participate in this war. In general, the list of your allies here is very small ...
Here, too, you will undoubtedly win the military victory, but that is not the question and the problem ... even if it gets significantly bloodier for the US.
The question is rather what the US will do after that and how they do it.

Correct, but the US did not win the war and it ended in a cease fire till today. Until now the uS and NK are still in status pf war!

Wrong! The North supported the insurgents in the South - called Viet Cong - for sure with weapons and material etc. ... but this is no crime, because the US did on other places the same. Nort Vietnamese trops of their NVA entered the South only after the US made this false flag issue of Tongking and then bombed the North + entering the SPOuth with own troops and not only an "Army of advisors" as before!

And in the end, the US lost this was totally with 50,000 KIA and much more wounded. All who deny this shall explain me, why South Vietnam is not existing anymore if you have not lost!

Wrong! The US, in front the CIA supported the local dictator of Cuba - Batista - with all sort of support that he and his bloody regime holds control and so suppressing the population!
Batista lost, so the US lost control over Cuba!

He means for sure ... the US trial (and some others like France) to end the bloody civil war in the country. A civil war where the US once still intervened on the sides of the Christians against the Muslims. And here again, the main reason was not the civil war itself, it was to help Israel and to stop Syrias influence in the country, as well the rising Hezbollah which is supported by Iran, as well the PLO at this time with Arafat.

Result: The US were forced to retreat after the bombing act and when they recognized to have no chance to fullfill their goals! This is commonly rated to have lost!

I was in Somalia too ...
And the reason for the international assignment with UN mandate was undoubtedly honorable and also very meaningful. Somalia was a state that has simply completely ceased to exist as a state and in the Chaoos then broke out a devastating famine, where then the aid organizations were also attacked.
However, the US had underestimated the operation and run totally lousy and incompetent. Almost everyone knows "Black Hawk Down" and this was the pure incompetence of the leadership in Washington, which then cost the defense minister the job. However, it was the righties in the US who denounced Clinton as to why US soldiers are dying in a **** hole where there is not even oil or anything of use. This shows sobering the hypocrisy of the US in such things!

No one denies that after 9/11 Al Qaeda was to be destroyed in Afghanistan ... including the barbarian Taliban, who gave them shelter and protection.
BUT ... is the war over? Are the Taliban and Al Qaeda annihilated in Afghanistan? No ... not even a bit and all, including the US itself is becoming more and more clear that the US can not win!
This realization was already clear in 2001 and 200 years old, because since Alexander the Great, nobody from outside has won a war with and in Afghanistan ... and the US is putting itself on the long list of losers!
And the US had a golden chance to get out of the madhouse at the beginning of 2002 out of the number without any problem and without any loss of prestige. The Taliban leadership offered to surrender and capitulate to the Afghan Transitional Government. Only the avenged US not only rejected this offer, no in the wake of total incompetence it banned any negotiations. Today, almost 18 years later, the US is smarter ... after many thousands of dead and injured US soldiers, soldiers of the Confederates and countless dead Afghans!
Verdnsi: Afghanistan is not a US victory and a defeat!

Havy you any busines swoth Syria in the US? Is assad your dictator puppet or is he the dictator puppet of Russia?
Why did you only show interest in the Arab Spring when it was against hostile regimes or when one of your puppet regimes was threatened?
Why did you demonstrably support everything and everybody in Syria, no matter who it really is, the main thing is to fight Assad? Take Al Nusra, allies of Al Qaeda, who have been proven to have weapons delivered by the US!

Yes, Assad is without question a bloody bastard! But ... so what? In Yemen, you're watching what the Saudi bastards are doing to support the local government, which is also slaughtering parts of its population? Your democratically led congress has been awake, but your government is not and is angry oaf the congress!

Has Iran done this until now? Did he attack US troops anywhere? No.

It's the question of what you do ... you impose illegal because unilateral and not sanctioned by the UN sanctions on oil trade with Iran (and many other things with sanctions too) ... do you think China is interested in these sanctions? Do you think Russia is interested in these sanctions? Do you think that North Korea is interested in these sanctions? And these are only 3, which give a crap on your sanctions!
The EU is rightly also craping on your illegal sanctions and it's just the power of money that makes many companies respect your sanctions. But not really ...
