...and then he didn't get fired.

    The end.

    No, you did not.

Obstruction of Justice does not require that Justice be Obstructed, in reality. The attempted act, done with a corrupt intent, is sufficient to convict.

Put another way, if Trump attempted to obstruct justice by ordering that Mueller be fired, then Trump committed the crime of obstruction of justice even though the order was never carried out.

Left wing hate has driven people insane. A man lit himself on fire in front of the WH a little bit ago.

He’s a coward for following the constitution? You would think that.

Did not Mueller, more or less say that he couldn't find collusion because everyone they interviewed lied? Did he not repeat that claim in his statement today?

"It was critical for us to obtain full and accurate information from every person we questioned. When a subject of an investigation obstructs that investigation or lies to investigators, it strikes at the core of their government’s effort to find the truth and hold wrongdoers accountable."

Good where's that quote in the Müller report, we'll be waiting forever I know but nowhere does Mueller's report say that.

Summing up the 9 minutes(and the Mueller report) in a nutshell. He had one job, and couldn't bring himself to do it(because even he had to know the weaknesses in his own case.)

Obstruction of justice requires criminal intent. What would the criminal intent be for wanting an end to an investigation started by a hoax to begin with? You realize that nothing was found on conspiracy don't you?

No, we’re very concerned about Russian interference.

But you Trumpsters started out by denying that there was any Russian interference.

When it became apparant that multiple people had lots of regular contact with Russian intelligence officials and cut outs, you tried to deny it.

When it became obvious that the Trump team’s denials were lies, you shrugged your shoulders.

When news of the Trump Tower meeting broke, you parroted Trump’s attempt to falsely claim that the purpose of the meeting was about adoption.

When that was exposed as a lie (and obstruction of justice) you so whatted, and tried to Obama dodge.

No Trump supporter here has EVER expressed any concern over the Russian disinformation war against the US.

No Trump supporter here has ever owned up for falling for some of the Russian campaign, even though Russia originated fake news was parroted all over this forum by Trumpsters.

No Trump supporter here has EVER expressed any concern over Trump’s obsequiousness toward Putin, or been shocked by the Trump Administration’s total lack of interest in doing anything about Russian interference.

And finally, when Trump cancelled sanctions against the Russian gangster Oleg Deripashka, the silence from Trumpster was very loud,

Trumpsters are equally silent about Russian efforts to compromise the GOP, which was Maria Butina’s job, using the NRA as a conduit to get Russian cash into GOP candidate’s pockets. The right wing silence on this is deafening.

And, of course, the right wing yelling is intended to try and cover any attempts to look into Trump’s finances, even though reports of Trump’s dependence on Russian money to keep his real estate companies afloat are well known.

You are free to speculate, of course.

As a matter of fact, Mueller explained why indicting Trump, while in office, regardless of what he had uncovered, was not an option he could consider.
"If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime,
    we would have said so."

What a BS number, let's say all the prosecutors in America are polled and 20,000 say it's not? Dumbest of dumb argument, I promise you there are 989 wacko left lib prosecutors.

He had as much chance as McGahn did.

The thing the NPC's are forgetting is this: McGahn was WH Counsel.

As in, you know, advising the POTUS.

The POTUS comes to McGahn with the idea to get rid of Mueller since a) The Russian investigation is fake and b) He knows he didn't collude with Putin, and points out to McGahn the obvious points of how Mueller got appointed, his conflicts, and the 16 angry Clinton supporters on Muellers team.

He asks McGahn to inquire about the potential of firing Mueller for these reasons.

McGahn says he won't, and tells him why.

Trump drops the issue and it doesn't proceed past the WH Counsel giving....counsel.

    ORGANG MANZ BAD IMPEECHSZ ANYWAYZ.

That's the theory, but I think the theory lacks substantial standing. A crime, has to be by definition an injury. We have prisons as punitive punishment for a crime committed. We do not incarcerate people just because we want to. It's the lone thing at this point that separates us from North Korea, China and Russia.(Since we're seeing a systematic teardown of the 4th amendment.)

Counsel cannot argue that it was obstructed, in lieu of the facts surrounding its investigation. Counsel struggles hard to give an argument for attempted obstruction and in those arguments we find several glaring holes, lack of intent as I pointed out is one of those. Another such issue is that many 'attempts' of obstruction don't even classify as such.

IE: Asking McGhan to make the statement to the Press, is not obstructing the counsel. Because it's not said under oath, and the counsel was not the target audience. The public was.(We also have to ask ourselves how Counsel has been leaking to the NYT, in spite of calling itself a closed office but that's a separate issue.)

I saw that, apparently he wasn't injured.

So it was a publicity stunt.
