Comparing the average of growth rates between periods over an 8 year timespan (consisting of 32 periods) to a 2 year timespan (consisting of 8 periods) doesn't tell us much. Don't take it from me. Take it from the guy who accidentally admitted that it is deceptive even while promoting it.

Averages are gold standards when used correctly, and even then they are not always the gold standards. Even when talking about health/life expectance/performance, median and other standards are sometimes a better measurement. But the important part is the 8 years vs 2 years, which again, you guys have already accidentally let slip is a problem.

If I'm "logical about the system," then I have to acknowledge that trend analysis is the gold standard for measuring and predicting growth over time in all areas of statistical analysis. I use it at work every day. I had to use it in my operations classes. I had to use it in my finance classes. I had to use it in my economics classes. I had to use it in my statistics classes. I can't think of any situation where it would be superior to just comparing averages between two asymmetric periods of times. I'd probably be fired if I tried to do it that way and pass it off as better than trend analysis.

Before the "New World Order" and globalization and the Trilateral Commission, America use to cloth itself, feed itself and produced the manufactured goods that were needed or wanted by the American people.

You are confusing a set of special interest jobs with net jobs overall, like everyone else who defends tariffs. If tariffs bring back some manufacturing jobs, but we'd have more jobs overall without the tariffs, we should ditch the tariffs. This make-believe land where manufacturing jobs are more important than anyone else's is complete nonsense. It would be like abandoning the industrial revolution because agricultural jobs went down.
