Sorry, but trying to parse your way around what Trump actually said, but selectively quoting, won’t change the fact that Trump made it very clear that he didn’t care where the information came from as long as it appeared to help him.
Clinton made a legal purchase from an American company and has not been indicted for any violation of anything. The DNC/Clinton purchase was 100% legal. And it still, is no matter how much you complain about it and try to justify Russian interference to help Trump. There is a ton of evidence of over 100 links between Russia and the Trump Campaign. They both worked for the same mutual goal and the Trump campaign was very willing to electorally benefit from the illegal interference by the Russians. Great Britain is not an adversarial country, and they did not hack email servers or mount massive disinformation campaigns on our social media platforms.
no a former UK intelligence operative that received dirt from the Russians so you had former foreign spy getting dirt from a foreign country
It's not illegal, nor should it be, to receive information about a political opponent from someone who happens to be a foreigner. Think about the First Amendment implications of that. I know free speech is increasingly regarded as an obsolete concept, especially by the left.
There are no such words in the Conclusion section at all. I quoted it almost in its entirety. It is page 182 of the actual text.
no evidence? its called the Dossier and the man is Christopher Steele so now you will tell us that the Dossier is a figment of our imagination and Christopher Steele doesn't exist just because your Trump derangement has caused you to abandon reality doesn't mean the rest of us have
I know, page 442 isn't the Conclusion Section...go to the Conclusion Section of Vol 2, page 182..that's what I quoted.https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5955290-Mueller-Report-Volume-II-Obstruction.html
Use ALL sources of information -- or -- run the risk of missing something important! If real 'performance' is anything to judge by, shall we contrast the expertise of the FBI and CIA with that of foreign intelligence agencies? Anybody besides me remember how all our 'alphabet' intel bureaucracies were yelling their heads off about Saddam and 'weapons of mass destruction' back in 2002? Is there anybody still left who thinks that maybe poor, old "W" Bush wasn't exactly getting the 'full, accurate picture'.... Speaking from the perspective of someone who has held two top-secret security clearances during my working career(s), I'd place at least as much trust in reports I might 'come across' from the Russian FSB, the Chinese MSS, or the German Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). Oooh! But those are icky 'foreigners'... right?
Yes, it was. Two wrongs don't make it right. Using Crooked Hillary to defend Dumb-assed Donny is the hight of hypocrisy. BOTH were toxic candidates. Now you've got Dumb-assed Donny waving around Secret Documents in front of the press because he's too stupid to realize that it can be read. What next? The guy is a danger to the country's security.
You are being deliberately selective in which part of it you quote, in a particularly disingenuous manner. Your hero just confessed on television that he would gladly accept any information from any foreigner (intelligence operative or otherwise) if it though it helped his campaign. Never mind where it comes from. Never mind whether it is true or not. Never mind if that source turns out to be one of Putin’s intelligence people (as they represented themselves as being for the Trump Tower meeting). It’s no different than Wendell Wilkie or Dewey receiving dirt on FDR from the Gestapo, using it to advance their campaigns and then lying about it when the FBI came to call. That’s exactly what Trump did. And it’s exactly what he just admitted publicly that he would gladly do again,
If thee is dirt - and you say it doesn't matter where it comes - then why do you defend Trump hiding his tax returns or ignoring subpoenas? Are you saying no secrets are allowed but defending Trump's right to secrecy at the same time. What bull crap.
They SOUGHT and PAID for dirt from foreign sources and government. That they used an intermediate does not change the fact. The Trump campaign had not control not influence in any benefit it may have derived from the email leaks. And are you saying it's OK to get dirt on your political opponent as long as the government is not an adversarial one or the person providing is not from one?
Now you are talking about the First Amendment rights of foreigners. OK. Let's go there. Citizens United was decided on First Amendment principles. If you apply that to foreigners, it means that anyone, from anywhere around the world, can contribute unlimited funds to campaigns and super PACs. Is that really what you want? Unlimited and uncontrolled foreign interference in American elections? The clown in the Oval Office has just invited every hostile country to dig for dirt on his political opponents, and he will welcome any information with open arms. That is horrifying. And you are cheering him on.
It would be just you and a few other Bush dead Enders. What we remember, and what the Senate Intelligence Committee subsequently concluded, was that the Bush White House and its allies in the PNAC and Ahmed Chalabi’s Iraqi National Congress, had pre sold the idea of selling a war based on “sexed up” and generally fake intelligence. We remember Dick Cheney driving out to CIA Headquarters to personally intimidate analysist to “try harder” to manufacture the fake WMD case. We also remember that this effort was reported on in the UK, but only in the McClatchy papers in the US. Being an intelligence analyst and being a Presidential candidate are two very different things. Which puts your analogy in a cocked hat. But then, Trump clearly knows that this is moral treason. Why else would he have lied about it?
The left does that all the time. Now, consider that the FBI is part of the administration. The President has the power to release any information the FBI uncovers. In effect, he is their boss since he runs the administration. The fact that unelected officials try to dictate who a President can or cannot talk to is unconstitutional. It does not matter who he talks to as he talks to all foreign leaders. Are you saying when he talks to the Queen he should run to the FBI? The ludicrous hysteria is on display again.
Trump set up the liberal fake news media and all you Trump deranged idiots by saying he would listen to dirt dished to him by a foreign country knowing the liberal fake news media and leftist idiots would have a fit Trump did so to exposed the liberal fake news media and leftist idiots of their hypocacy and double standard because what he said he might do was the same dam thing Clinton did Trump set a trap and you idiots fell right into it
I am merely quoting the Conclusion. You are adding things to what was asked, and what was said. He merely said he would certainly listen and then potentially go to the FBI. I guess misstating facts is all the desperate left has left
You avoided my question. But yeah, if the Queen said, "I've got dirt on Biden. You wanna know what it is?", he should tell the FBI.
Foreign oppo research has bipartisan support, of course it's "right". (D)'s have lauded the Steele dossier for years, and Schiff still thinks it's divine scripture. Comey & Co. submitted the oppo research to FISA so unverified foreign intel has the FBI seal of approval. Months before that Brennan was feeding portions to Obama, and Obama must not have cared about it's origins. Why can't (D)'s ever commit to living up to the standards they set?
Politics is an ugly business. Trump knows how to keep the outrage machine running with little effort. We can assume that all politicians would take the info, but few would admit willingness. Lets not pretend that the US is against interference in foreign elections.
so tell me who is Christopher Steele? is he a foreigner? and where did the dirt on Trump that was in the Dossier that Steele wrote that Clinton paid for come from? I know I'm wasting my time expecting a straight honest answer from you
