I have always viewed Germans as light on their sense of humor.

It was wanton mass murder directed by evil men and committed by brainwashed servants.

Which explains how we could buy your entire country and not really notice the money involved.

    Really?

Who, exactly, is ultimately responsible for "a political system owned and operated by a seedy network of ultra-rich and ultra-powerful oligarchs who act entirely in their own self-interest"?

    WE ARE.

"We" has everything to do with it, but in the immortal words of Neil Peart, blame is better to give than receive.

How am I responsible for something that I had no part in creating, perpetuating, or supporting? And which I expressly and vociferously object to?

So that justifies the allied bombing of 70,000 French civilians?

I'm with you on Wilson and WWI, but how did the Japanese attack on our naval base at Pearl Harbor have "nothing to do with Americans"?

As I recall, the people who were killed in that attack were Americans.

So you think Trump supporters are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

OK. I'll just leave that there.

He didn't need to prove it. His bona fides on this forum go back years.

When did the Brits start it?

"During the German invasion of Poland, the Luftwaffe engaged in massive air raids against Polish cities,[45] bombing civilian infrastructure[45][46] such as hospitals[44][45] and targeting fleeing refugees.[47][48][49][50] Notably, the Luftwaffe bombed the Polish capital of Warsaw, and the small towns of Wieluń and Frampol. The bombing of Wieluń, the first military act of World War II (and hence, the first act of bombing, strategic or otherwise, or the war), was carried out on a town that had no military value.[51]"

It's become increasingly clear that FDR intentionally maneuvered the Japanese into attacking the US by the deliberate and systematic strangulation of the Japanese economy. Not that the Japanese were innocent victims - far from it - yet there can be little doubt that FDR's policies towards Japan were crafted with the knowledge that it would necessarily provoke a military reaction from the Japanese empire. There is also some question as to whether FDR intentionally left certain assets open to attack, though his deliberate provocations are enough in my opinion to demonstrate his desire for US involvement in European wars.

A foolish treaty that could not be enforced and which did not serve the interests of the British people.

What do you mean - could not be enforced?
Poland was attacked, UK entered the war. Worked like a charm!
