As soon as Dems lost power they run to court over every little thing.....but the GOP and Trump usually win in the end. At least the appeals seem to be moving faster now. The solution to the border and immigration problem is not and will never be an archaic wall. That's just a symbol, and in this case, a Trump monument. It's not going to do anything but be a physical symbol that people, right now at least, think will make them feel safer. After it's built, at an incredible cost also requiring costly upkeep, and illegal immigration and drugs are still a problem, folks will move on to the next thing. It's like trying to deal with a leaky roof by building a better ceiling, even when we all know that ceiling won't be watertight in the first place.

The only way to fix the problem is to try and fix the source of the problem, which is the situations that lead to the exoduses to this country in the first place. A bigger task to be sure, one that is likely not totally within our power to deal with, but the only way we actually start doing something to deal with the problem instead of investing billions in monuments and feel-good nonsense.

 

They are asking for asylum at the border entries.................. fleeing from gangs and violence in their home countries ....... increased by Trumps cutting off aid.

 

Or just decriminalize it and give them free healthcare and use of tax funded roads and tax funded schooling off of the backs of working Americans. That should probably stop the problem

No - it was a major overreach by Dirty Donny. And you will be glad of this ruling when a Dem sits in the WH and is not able to declare a "national emergency" in order to circumvent Congress and direct funding towards health care or any other issue that you disagree with.

 

For sure that won't fix the problem, but it's at least a better solution than pretending you can slam the door of your room like a selfish petulant teenager and shut out the problems of the world.
