Yeah, it makes sense that all the hundreds of people working for dozens of different news sources would lie and the only place you can get trustworthy news is FOX where trump's mentor, Hannity, works. Considering trump has been proven to be perhaps the biggest liar on the face of the earth makes it all seem logical. DUHHHHHHH
I think that most of the MSM are fake news. Of course, for that reason, I've allowed myself to watch conspiracy theory stuff. And why not? If it's all fake anyway then it doesn't matter.
I chose most msm is fake. However it would be more accurate to say most msm, while usually real, fakes enough to cast all their 'news' into doubt. They arent usually fake, but neither are they credible. This goes for CNN, MSNBC, FOX, all of em. There is no partisan monopoly on lies.
It's what Paul Simon wrote in 'The Boxer': "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest". There's no truth anymore, just opinion.
Not all but more than a few of the MSM sources like CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, NYT, etc are nothing more than political operatives for the DNC. Journalism is dead today in America.
People confuse OP ED and entertainment on the cable news networks as "News". It is not. It is entertainment. Hannnity is not a news person, he is an entertainment person. Maddow is not a news person, she is an entertainment person. Can't help the people who can't understand that "fake" news is most likely just OP ED and entertainment. Stupid is as stupid does.
FAKE NEWS: http://politicalforum.com/index.php...-rail-station-in-mn-media-oddly-quiet.556165/ Just like the thread which alleged Muslims shouted "F Jesus". Complete FAKE.
Threads that are posted here are often from FAKE NEWS sources such as Fox and Breitbart. As usual, the right wingers will happily applaud the fake reports in those sources. When the TRUTH is presented by the patriots they abandon the thread like cowards rather than retract their applause.
How much of fake is outright lies? Most is exaggeration or minimizing and hasn't that always been around?
The term "fake news" originated with the BLOTUS who EXCEEDED 10,000 lies in April of this year. Given that NOTHING that the BLOTUS spouts can be trusted the term is obviously just another of his baseless lies. The media is run by people and people make mistakes. The difference between mistakes made by people in other industries and the media is that we only learn about the mistakes in other industries via the media. When the media makes a mistake it is immediately known by everyone. Which provides us with the means to establish which parts of the media are credible and which are not. Any media outlet and ACKNOWLEDGES and RETRACTS their mistakes has credibility. Those media outlets that NEVER acknowledge and/or retract their mistakes have ZERO credibility. Without CREDIBILITY a media outlet is nothing but a source of DISINFORMATION. https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/media-bias-ratings https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...ast-trusted-news-sources-in-the-us-2017-08-03 Without trust there can be no credibility but with those two charts above it is relatively easy to see where the various media outlets end up when it comes to "fake news"
News has become entertainment. It is sensationalized and presented in the most provocative manor because that is what sells. Big time marketing big time profits. It is also largely politicized toward specific audiences. They cherry pick video and audio clips to suit their target audience and often times will only present one side of an issue. Throw in a large dose of opinion and speculation void of fact and you have what we call fake news. The result is that real factual news has become a chore that most people wont bother with. We gravitate to those who will tell us what we want to hear and be done with it. I don't watch news. I read it. Read it with an understanding of the angle from which it is presented and then seek out the presentation from the other side. Often times one must consume a 3rd and even a 4th presentation to formulate a clear picture. I do not read articles that use social media quotes. When the twitter quotes start i am done. Something that is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid. Half truths, small screens make for small minds.
Remember when Fox reported on a right wing rally which was poorly attended and inserted a background of a large crowd on their TV broadcast? That's as phony as it gets. Yet, righties remained silent over that FAKE NEWS.
I don't think it's as simple as yes or know fake news. 1. I will say that the MSM definitely has nefarious purposes and has had in increasing measure since the 1980s. 2. It is clear from their reporting that they are anti trump. Not just telling negative news about trump but actively seeking to destroy his presidency. 3. They will definitely take unverified stories and run with them if it paints trump in a bad light, they are willing to do this because they know the American people will only read the headline and assume it's true. Then when they retract it quietly no one will pay attention and assume the original was true. Negligent news yes, horribly biased news yes.. do they flat out make stuff up? No probably not. They are however doing what they do to sway the way people think and vote. Just like Hollywood and our increasingly irrelevant higher educational system. Fake, no evil yes.
Of course they remained silent. Just as lefties remain silent when they are spoon fed what they want to believe. The phenomenon isn't exclusive to one side or the other. Nobody wants to admit when the home team is wrong.
The problem is that media organizations are interested in profit first and foremost. Depending on the target audience telling the cold facts may not be enough of a draw. As a result it’s about a narrative of the facts. Why tell the actual truth when too many people seem more interested in a sensationalized partisan version of them...
