That is the hope of the left. That the economy will fade and Americans begin to suffer just so that they can regain political power.

 

Economies ebb and flow. I wish we could just coast along at 3% growth forever, no matter who was President. I just think that in the long run, Trump's fights with other trading partners will take a toll.

It already has. Sales of American soybeans to China, a market the US has been carefully developing for thirty years, plunged 74% in one year. Brazil is rushing to fill the vacuum. If this keeps up, the US will lose a huge export market permanently.

 

Or, (and much more likely) evidence of corruption, money laundering and obstruction of justice will come to light regarding Trump, his family and his associates. Several are either in jail or heading in that direction now. Most people don’t buy into this Deep State, soft coup crap. We’ll have to wait and see what happens and it is a political eternity until the election.

Also a lot depends on who emerges as the nominee for the Democratic Party and if there is a viable third party candidate involved. Right now, Trump is the slight favorite just like Jimmy Carter was in 1979 and GHW Bush was in 1991. Both of them were far more popular than Trump is now. If I was a Trump fan, I sure wouldn’t be overconfident at this point. Same is true for Democrats who think they have it in the bag. There’s a long way to go here..

 

I've said this since 2015. If you're a true patriot, you don't believe America is in any need of needing made "great" again.

What's the lefts message? To benefit its citizens with affordable healthcare, bring down the amount of bankruptcies brought on by student debt, build up the asylum program.

There's one party here selling regression and one party selling progression.

 

You know the economy isn't the only issue that drives votes during elections, right?

The mindless repetition of Trump’s “no collusion, no obstruction” slogan is getting more and more shrill. The increasing volume suggests that the shouters are seriously doubting themselves, but aren’t going to publicly admit it anytime soon.

Trumpsters don’t even bother to discuss the mountain of evidence. They simply shout that it is all lies (without ever producing a shred of evidence).

Last week, the Kremlin announced that Trump had been invited to Moscow, in conjunction with the celebration of the end of WWII.

The Kremlin said the White House was enthusiastic about the idea.

But it’s far more telling the way right wing media studiously ignored the announcement.

I can tell you what regression is. It’s trying to bring that golden age of capitalism back that we had in the 50s. I also warn a strong fascination with national security is a sign of a fascist government. The economy ialome will not pull Trump to the finish line. Tension has only gotten worse in the country since Trump was elected. It’s the only way someone like Sanders could build a foundation, because it requires this sort of dysfunctional climate.

 

Obama was being progressive, Trump is being recessive. Whereas Obama was pushing green energy, Trump is pushing coal despite the fact renewables are generating more electricity in the country than coal. Obama empowered the LGBTQ community, Trump tried pushing a transgender ban in the military. But more importantly, Obama understood that technology, not just Democrat’s and trade agreements, is the reason for jobs leaving the US. And he had glad.

 

Green energy; is that what you call the billion dollars Obama handed to his buddy in Solynedra and then said and did absolutely nothing when a few months later the fellow declared bankruptcy and then vanished with all that money? Oh and while the leftist allied mainstream media pretended that it never happened?

 

The only people talking about bringing the fifties back (At least the idiotic tax policies. I'm pretty sure they would hate the federal spending priorities) are leftists.

The Tension the country hasn't got worse because of Trump. It's gotten worse because leftist refuse to admit their heroine lost and have been pretty much screaming non stop since mid November 2016. Sanders already had a foundation before Trump. It may well have been Trump vs Sanders in 2016 had not the DNC sand bagged Sanders in the early going.
